Cutaway view of the head and torso, showing the brain and spinal cord, amid a background of orange fractal triangles. White and green pixels gather in a panel to the left. On the right is the indistinct text 'The truth of our percepts is determined by the closeness with which our thought model corresponds to its original. I traced the Earth card from Dulora de la Haye's 1897 Tarot hiéroglyphique égyptien. I took some artistic license and had a lot of fun, and learned a lot of #Inkscape skills in the process. It's so relaxing and absorbing, although the nightmares about devils have been an interesting side effect.
Side by side comparison of my interpretation and the original tarot card. In the centre is a person with bare breasts blindfolded, framed in olive wreaths. Mine has brown skin with gold highlights, the original is just the off-white colour of the paper. Around the outside is an ornate frame with motifs such as devils, Hebrew letters, and flaming torches.
