I heard my wife on Discord talking about ICE when she posed the rhetorical question: "These people just don't care, do they?" Yes, they do, dear. They care *very much* about what they are doing. When you see these "police" doing terrible things, you can assume it's intentional. Evil exists.

In fairness, the Republicans have been warning us for *decades* that the government wanted to take away our firearms, that as soon as they thought that they could get away with it Washington would outlaw guns and the Second Amendment wouldn't stop them.

This isn't entirely accurate. Yes, the overlap of right wingers and hypercapitalists in the US is very nearly total. Centrists here are still capitalists, but would be satisfied with a tightly managed capitalist economy like Denmark/Norway, with strong unions and a generous social safety net.

Capitalism is right wing. There is no pro-capitalist left.
