First pic is of our section sophomore year and then second is one of my friends who was a drum major junior and senior years.

Eight gentlemen holding trombones. They’re dressed in fairly classical marching band uniforms that are mostly black but have a forest green edged burgundy front fold over that carries over to the right sleeve. The burgundy fold over is further accented by a sparkling silver fold over accent piece. All members are also holding black leather shakos with a triangular metallic cap device and accent chain along the top of the brim. These would normally be worn with fairly long, feathery, black plumes that had small shiny bits mixed in.

Our drum major uniforms also in a fairly classic styling. They were all black with two rows of metallic buttons running down the front. Accented with silver sequined sashes along the front and silver aiguillette on the right shoulder. Further accented by white gauntlets and white gloves. Same shakos would be worn but with a white plume.

FIFA painted over a Wyland mural in downtown Dallas. Same artist who did the whale mural in Detroit among other works (that’s also covered, temporarily. Free the whales!) Fully painting over it is a complete disgrace and should not have even been in the conversation.

So it seems like these are prototypes for the new #Dbacks City Connects. I…really dislike them. Huge swing and a miss going for dark on dark. Feels a lot like the Tigers horrible city connects.

I do really think that we need to be building more smaller, compact houses or row homes, similar to what this developer did in Arkansas. Especially in areas served by public transit. Bring back the streetcar suburb! www.strongtowns.org/journal/2025...

Everyone’s kind of familiar with the Swiss Guard’s ceremonial uniforms. Other members of the Guard, like musicians or officers, wear different, increasingly ornate, uniforms.
