[Spooky Month Movie 8 of 31] I’m surprised that I sort of enjoyed this movie, at least moreso than the previous 3. Sure, it looks terrible most of the time. Sure, I still am not a fan of the main char...

[Spooky Month 2026 Movie 7 of 31] It’s a weird movie, but I guess that makes it more interesting than the last one? Sure, throw in a Mad Max- esque aesthetic. Sure, give Alice the Force. Sure, add in ...

[Spooky Month 2026 Movie 6 of 31] All around worse than the original film. It was neat to finally see some of the game characters adapted… except they are adapted terribly. The moment Alice meets Jill, she becomes irrelevant and more incompetent. Nemesis was handled incredibly poorly, with the “fight” at the end being laughable. The editing is pretty terrible, and the acting isn’t far behind. Didn’t care for its attempt at humor too, just all fell flat to me. I guess the CGI was a bit better than the first film? That’s something. Raccoon City deserved better.

[Spooky Month 2026 Movie 5 of 31] Just a bad adaptation from the source material. Is it wrong I wanted the movie to… y’know, be in a spooky mansion? I didn’t want to skip to the lab. The plot is dumb,...

[Spooky Month 2026 Movie 4 of 31] Another David Lynch movie I feel like I need to watch 3 more times to fully have an opinion on it. I don’t think I liked it as much as Lost Highway, but it is enjoyab...

[Spooky Month 2026 Movie 2 of 31] This one was a bit of a surprise. Ended up being a lot better than the trailer made it out to be. It’s very much a slow burn, and I get how that isn’t for everyone. S...

[Spooky Month 2026 Movie 1 of 31] What a great way to start the month. Felt like a love letter to the slasher genre while also VERY MUCH being its own thing. Love how stylized it was. The pacing felt ...

I really liked it. As good horror often does, it felt inspired by our current-era even if it’s set in the 90’s e.g COVID-induced trauma for medical staff, and corporate greed. Felt unique for the franchise, but still true to it. I really didn’t like 1 section of the game though (last half of part...

A well-paced thrill ride. A very interesting way to adapt a franchise. It captures how it feels to be the player in these situations as opposed to a specific character. Good humor, and a nice take on ...
