&y @zombiecube.bsky.social · 5h91 garlic cloves planted, covered with a layer of homemade compost, and a layer of home-shredded leaves. Then surrounded with some random janky fence parts to discourage my idiot dog from stomping around in the precious soil. 000
&y @zombiecube.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Garlic is going into the ground later than usual this year because I jacked up my back, got super busy at work, and other candyass excuses. But I finished expanding the garlic bed today (3x the space) and will plant tomorrow. Should be fine. Garlic is the easiest fucking thing to grow. I love it. 110
&y @zombiecube.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Vanadium can be an excellent addition to steel. Good for creep resistance, which I swear is a real thing. But it also makes steel trickier to weld, so be careful. Oh. And don’t eat or drink it. 110

&y @zombiecube.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Yes, I know about wearing personal protective equipment when handling the business end of these things. I once tested a bit of raw pulp from one of these. It was the size of the period at the end of this sentence. I could still feel the residual effect on my tongue >12 hours later. Strong stuff. 000
&y @zombiecube.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Some of this year’s Carolina reaper harvest. They literally look scary—like the orange handle on a diner coffee carafe, nature’s way of saying, “Do not eat.” I grow these for fun. I can only use them by processing into “insanity pepper” flakes and adding micrograms to make soup spicy. #hotpepper 220
