I *hope* what this means is that some conservatives are reaching the limit of what they see as "acceptable cruelty." At the very least, this is a great reminder to Democrats that it doesn't behoove them to throw minority groups under the bus in the chase for moderate votes.

I cannot state enough how much representation matters. People develop empathy (partly) by being shown diversity in their lives and the media they consume. If this practice is not challenged, I expect even more trans hate by average citizens. Find your supports and stay strong out there 🩷🤍🩵

The "parents' rights" movement is destroying education in this country. Parents can parent how they want. They should not be allowed to bully librarians, teachers, etc. One, they don't have the same expert knowledge. Two, censorship impedes everyone's rights. We need to stop allowing it.

The fact that many conservatives see this as a positive ruling reminds me of why I am instantly distrustful of anyone who says they lean conservative. Minors deserve protection, even from their parents/guardians, especially those parents/gudians who think conversion therapy is "the answer."

Just listening to the audiobook version of "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me," about Borderline Personality Disorder. The authors discussed how much of an ineffective pseudoscience conversion therapy is. Interesting coincidence, considering that SCOTUS just paved the way for conversion therapy 🤬
