I do like the normal helmets in this, I liked that design but also makes them look more imposing.

#Crossroads episode 1981 is interesting as Sandy arranges a party to mark 12 years since the motel opened which is presumably 3 years before the soap started. Reg Watson personally made these episodes, re-establishing the lore of the series and why the motel was opened.

14/10/26 #DoctorWho rewatch Revolution of the Daleks. Chibnall is good at Dalek stories. Coherent sequel to Resolution. Jack's 2nd reappearance is relevant to the story. I'm glad the jail plot isn't resolved in the first 30 seconds. Graham & Ryan's farewell was fine until Grace's force ghost at end.

Time Lords could rise again and if they regenerate in the Cyber suit, why doesn't Time Lord body grow and renew itself like the Doctor's hand. Add silly costume and ironically for Cybermen you have most illogical thing going. Ignoring painful PowerPoint Master presentation, this is still a dud. 9/9

have used. So the Time Lords survived against a universe full of Daleks but the Master could just pop home and blow them up. It doesn't add up. Then it suggests you put dead Time Lord organic matter into Cybermen and they will regenerate. What??? If you could be dead dead and regenerate then the 8/9

where the Doctor started, this forces you down a single path. Then there's Gallifrey, of all the most boring things possible, destroying Gallifrey again is up there. Probably some casual viewers never knew it was back and ironically Moffat showed a dead Gallifrey in the future the Master could 7/9

One attraction of the Doctor was that they were the failing student who ran away and created a legend by accident. Giving them this history of specialness from the start loses any sense we all could make something of our life if we try. They are far less fallible. We could all pick our idea of 6/9

3rd, previous writers were always careful not to go before Unearthly Child. Lots of hints & teases but we didn't see it. In 80s & later it was said the Doctor was losing their mystery but this rams a wedge of new back story & tries to claim mystery remains but it doesn't. She worked for Divison. 5/9

I can say that as an adopted child, I hate this idea. First, it shows the adopted child experimented on then tortured which is not exactly a positive spin on it. Second, it basically turns the Doctor into an abused Clark Kent figure, an alien brought up to later save the planet (for a while). 4/9

I know they said humans were only wiped out in this part of the universe but it doesn't really add up with other Cyberhistory. Talking of history, I can't ignore that new lump of continuity. Chibnall decided to have Doctor adopted & have that identity crisis. He was adopted, I was adopted too. 3/9

The Irish police plot is just left as a mystery but in part 2 you discover the order of events isn't even correct. The child falls off the cliff long before joining Division. How were the Cybermen defeated with no soldiers left when there's an entire battle cruiser, an army and 3 rusty ones? 2/9

14/10/26 #DoctorWho rewatch Ascension of the Cybermen / The Timeless Children. Most of reaction is usually over part 2 but I have problems with part 1. At the start Chibnall rehashes that 5 minutes from The Hungry Earth where the Doctor builds up some defences which are then overcome in seconds 1/9
