Something that baffles me. People want to watch football, but so many of the games are locked behind paid services. Wouldn't you want more people to watch? Not less?

so. MS patented a system for full screen ads in games like why. why? why do ads have to be so intrusive? who decided that full screen video ads were the goal here? just like... how many games do you see with billboards or banners? why not use those for ads? like in the real world?? fucking corpos

It's incredibly crude and basic yes, but it is mine. Finally got a head rendered, now working on getting a torso, and the rest of the body made up. Decided to keep a head mesh on its own to help with scaling. #blender. Gonna have to do something about the N-gons on the head at some point.

I may have bitten off more than i can chew with trying to model a humanoid head... ignoring how bad my topology is... HOW THE FUCK DO EARS WORK?!

Ok. So my baseline deaths right now for Reimu A in Touhou Koumakyou: New Classic - the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil is 28. 23 too many, but now I have a starting point. Next stop, get it below 5. #touhou #EoSD #NewClassic

Tried my hand at modeling a humanoid head for the first time, and I'm already frustrated with this thing. I didn't consider topology when starting and now it just looks like a mess to me. Is this even salvageable at this point, or should I just discard and try again? #blender #help

Today, I discovered that my drawing tablet driver is being correctly identified by my #Linux Mint install, but it's being assigned as a game pad input device for some reason. Existing in a "Well yes, but actually no" state. I'll have to poke at this some more

Ok, note to self. Whenever creating a new Blender project file, make sure to dial in your rendering device at the beginning of the project. Just spent 35 minutes waiting for a 95 frame render because it was still set to render with my CPU rather than my GPU. 🤦‍♂️

Zodiac @zodiacstarsign.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I said I was done with this #blender project. Guess I lied. 6 revisions later, and I got it looking a lot better. The light bulbs especially. Turns out, I forgot to set a strength value when giving the bulb material Emission properties. Oops.

Pretty heavy hail all of a sudden. Hopefully, it ceases before I have to leave to work. Delivering in this is not going to be fun otherwise.

I think I'm finished with this #Blender scene. I get the feeling that light is going to be the bane of my existence, but once I get it dialed in, the results will be good. Scene is composed of 6 cubes, 8 UV spheres, and 8 point lights. Simple, but I'm happy with this being a first project.

I'm starting to get a handle on how to actually do some simple things in Blender. Nothing to show for it yet, and I'm still working with low poly objects, but it's starting to make sense. A veil is being lifted.

Was reminded yesterday why I don't eat McDonald's anymore. While the immediately salty nature is glorious, about an hour or so later I start feeling sick and congested. Not to mention it's no longer a good cost to food balance anymore.

BY THE WAY If you've updated to Windows 11 recently, you're probably on version 25H2. There's a new setting in Settings: Privacy & Security. Scroll aaaaaaaalll the way to the bottom and you'll see "Text and Image Generation." TURN IT OFF.
