Aaron Rodgers has a 2.5 ADOT on completed passes in Week 2 and has a 3.3 ADOT on his completed passes this season. He's completing 59.5% of his passes. At some point the media needs to find a clever way to ask Rodgers if the problem could be him.

Here's the thing: Malik Willis was one of the worst sack avoiders in NCAA history for as long as PFF data goes back. Among 187 QB prospects from 2015-2026, Willis' 26.0% pressure-to-sack rate is the 9th-highest. I'm not sure he'll figure it out in *checks notes* his fifth year of pro football.

Advanced stats are nice because when you read things like this you can say that among 30 QBs (min. 20 dropbacks) in Week 1, Aaron Rodgers was 24th in ADOT on completed pass (4.2) and was 0-for-9 on passes of 20-plus yards with only one of those incompletions being credited as a drop.

I don't know how many mock drafts Mel Kiper did, but in the two I found, he mentioned Shedeur's sacks once, and he basically wrote it up as a badge of honor that proved his toughness. If you can't acknowledge that avoiding bad plays is the best quality a QB can have, you're playing from behind.

My humble QB breakout model that considers QBs who: * Had a PFF offensive grade of ≥ 85.0 in one of their first three college seasons * Had a career pressure-to-sack rate < 20% ...put Allar among a handful of first-round picks since 2015 and some guys who have turned out pretty good.
