KSL lets you put an `about` on various defs, such as node validations, and the idea is that you would then be able to take that about and show it in IDEs. I just added a new feature where, instead of just a single "about", you'd be able to add multiple, distinguished by lang/locale. Thoughts?
#### `about`

Description for this component

Multiple `about` child nodes may also be used, and their `lang` properties can be used to specify, using a two-letter ISO 639-1 language codes plus an optional hyphen (`-`) followed by an ISO 3166-1 country code, case insensitive.

- **repeatable**
- **arg:** Description for this component
  - **required**
  - **type:** `string`
- **prop `lang`:** Locale/language code
  - **type:** `string`
  - **pattern:** `^[a-zA-Z]{2}(?:-[a-zA-Z]{2})?$`

honestly KDL's ability to dedent multiline blocks is paying off so much. Being able to add such rich, verbose metadata like this to node descriptions in KDL's new schema language has been delightful.
Example from the KDL Schema Language definition in KSL itself, showing indented multiline strings that will be dedented when consumed.

ourworldindata.org/grapher/mont... I think it’s a strange claim to pretend that the data center growth spike would look like this if it weren’t for the feverish obsession with LLMs that is currently happening

Front Mission 5 is such a good game T_T I think it's unfortunate the series kinda peaked here and died off. Especially for us Fire Emblem fans, this is the kind of thing that desperately needs an Awakening-style reboot!! Anyway if you like robots/mecha, drama, and tactics game, check this out!

Improvements to the KDL serde API: You can now do boolean-flag children (where an empty child signals a true boolean), as well as `#rest` for picking up arguments that weren't picked up by `#{n}` renames. Also, serde errors are now miette `Diagnostic`s too!

doing my part, etc
It has come to my attention, per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wiki_Workers_United_solidarity, that the Wikimedia Foundation recently laid off multiple union organizers during a union-establishing effort at the Foundation, as well as Brooke Vibber, another union organizer and long time developer.

This is incredibly troubling to me, and I am writing to let you know that unless the course here is corrected/reversed and Wikimedia takes significant steps towards fixing this, I will be withdrawing my ongoing donations to Wikimedia.

Thanks to a couple of community contributors, kdl-rs will soon have proper serde support, with the ability to remap things you want into vecs/fields/etc as you want! It's very similar to how quick_xml does things, if you're familiar with that.

Omg she’s here! And she’s so cute! She’s definitely way way smaller and lighter than I expected. This will easily fit smaller hands compared to the Steam Deck. My hand for comparison and I swear I do not have big hands at all. Definitely nicer than the older model controller!

Toxic workplace allegations

In January 2023, Politico reported on criticism that Porter was "allegedly a terrible—according to some accounts, abusive and racist—boss."[82]

The Washington Post interviewed eight former employees on condition of anonymity about their experiences working for Porter.[83] The staffers described her as domineering and recounted multiple examples of her mistreatment of staffers, including instances where she berated staffers until they cried.[83] In response to the allegations that she created a toxic workplace, Porter defended herself on The View in April 2023 by comparing herself to women of color who are discriminated against.[83]

In October 2025, a video of an online interview from July 2021 between then-Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and Porter resurfaced. In the background, one of Porter's employees appeared and Porter shouted "Get out of my fucking shot!".[84] After the video resurfaced, Porter stated that "what I did to the staffer was wrong." She also claimed that she apologized to the staffer and thanked her for the correction.[85]
