Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.

From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

The title of the article, which I link below, is "How Bear 89 earned the name Backpack"

Teehee, yo ho, or something. Alon, my little pirate captain quetz. A spitfire who's been occupying my brain meat lately, so I drew him. Big hat pending. It will be So Big. #quetz #quetzatrice #originalcharacter #ocsky

When I started thinking about doing this last year, I wasn't quite sure about it. Going to a conference this past weekend really drove home that I'm doing the right thing, and it's made me feel better about other choices I've made this year too. 😊

the famous line about how michael caine treated the muppets as fellow actors and tim curry treated himself as a fellow muppet keeps running through my head we have a lot of brilliant actors, but how many of them can really pull off 'unhinged muppet' the way curry could? what a tremendous loss

That feel when: Art Block A pair of sticker designs @armatages.bsky.social and I made! I did the character art; she did the art program. We will have these at FAN EXPO Canada, Table M12. #WitchHatAtelier #MKArt #WHA

A chibi illustration of Agott and Coco staring at a blank digital art program canvas. Agott is standing with her back to the viewer, hand to her chin, face in a pout, concentrating hard on the void. Coco hangs down from the top, her hat fallen onto the frame, scratching her head nervously, willing a single idea to come out.

A chibi illustration of Qifrey and Olruggio staring at a blank digital art program canvas. Olly is sitting at the front, back to the viewer, with one hand pressed to his head in frustration while Qifrey stands in the endless white void of the canvas, crying a little over art as his fingers tap together in thought.

Worked at a different summer camp as a substitute yesterday and I have to say I really enjoy working at summer camps, both as a performer and as a counselor. My life has gotten WEIRD in the last few years but maybe I've finally found my niche.

Yesterday was my last day at camp for the summer, and I'm bummed about it but also already hyped for next year. I'll keep coming back as long as they'll let me lol I talked to our camp director about getting more involved in the creative process for next year, so we're going to figure something out

This was yet another year where at least one kid wasn't convinced that our Villain wasn't actually a bad person, but that she just needed some friends. So they made her a little caterpillar out of pony beads as a gift and gave it to me and I'm like, oh no this is precious stoooop 😭

120

ZippyElly @zippyelly.com · 24/07/2026

Meanwhile the villain's like "awww that's so sweet of you to tell him he's cool and brave! That's really diabolical though, since he chickened out like a little loser~" The kids were like NOOOOOOOOOO YOU TAKE THAT BACK HE'S OUR FRIEND 😂 Like I said, Absolute Menace.
