I had to check what it is and i just remembered that is basically a commercial GzDOOM mod. In my experience,"ZDoomers" are absolute ass at balancing stuff.

The killer fall damage is such a trope from late 90s/early 2000s games. Falling of a few meters in half life 1/2 and Doom 3 was almost a death sentence.
