White House: “We have asked Ambassador Guilfoyle to resign. She has been a wonderful asset to the team, and we wish her well.” Lesson is not that graft is not tolerated by the White House, but do it via crypto or corporate deals rather than texts asking for cash. And be a male, preferably a Trump.

AI models may be capable of self-replicating without access to a datacenter
Small AI models may be only months away from being able to self-replicate across cheap IoT devices like Android TV boxes, with no datacenter needed.

I agree. That is why I mentioned that any potential repercussions would be suboptimal. That said, some sort of targeted accountability (rather than collective punishment) should be pursued, if only to disincentivize similar agreements/practices in the future.

I have been thinking a lot about what would be an appropriate action, when Dems take the WH again, towards those states that have agreed to accept third-country citizens. Every option is suboptimal, but something has to be done. There have to be consequences for participating in human trafficking.

There was no accountability for DOGE so he is going to keep doing it. Dems should promise to minimize contracts with clearly partisan government contractors and to impose more regulatory scrutiny on Musk. At this point, nothing to lose. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...

From the original article: "Voters in the Peruvian town of Queropalca have chosen their new mayor: Hitler Mussolini Simeon Flores."Last two paragraphs: "“I’m the good Hitler,” Alba told broadcasters on the campaign trail, local media reported.

In Namibia, Adolf Hitler Uunona last year won his fifth local election in a row. “As a child I saw it as a totally normal name,” he told the BBC.

International students: 1. Contribute ~$40 billion/year (NAFSA) *directly* (tuition, housing, small businesses etc). They support about 400,000 American jobs per year. 2. Pay full tuition, subsidizing American students. 3. Contribute to major scientific advances. We are lucky to have them.
