Finished all of the Netflix Castlevania. Absolutely loved it. Might look at Devil May Cry next.

Made this in Blender to try to get myself back into messing with 3D again. I've wanted to do 3D art for years, but every time I start getting into it and seeing some progress, something happens to make me stop. Here I am trying again, though!

A 3D render of a Nintendo Entertainment System seen from the front left. The power light is glowing a dull red next to the "Power" and "Reset" buttons. Both controller ports are empty.

A 3D render of a Nintendo Entertainment System seen from the back right. The console's ports for audio, video and RF jack can be seen along with a little bit of the port for the AC adapter.

I've watched all of the original Castlevania series and season 1 of Nocturne this past week. That's like 40 episodes in a week. I've never watched 40 episodes of anything in a week before!

"We used to be four ordinary teenagers until one day we met some new friends.... from out of town..." Looks awesome! Don't see a lot of Dinosaucers stuff around, which is a shame.

I haven't ever seen any remasters of Gray/Blue, which is a shame. Those two were fun.

The first four of these were no-brainer picks, as they were the anime that got me started in the first place. The rest are some of my absolute favorites from a time when life was much simpler. #my9anime

A list of the 9 anime that have had the biggest influence on me as a person.

1. Project A-ko
2. Sailor Moon
3. Dragon Ball Z
4. Ronin Warriors
5. Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer
6. Tenchi Muyo! In Love
7. Gall Force: Eternal Story
8: Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture
9: Love Hina Christmas Movie

I've found the game I'll be playing to take a good break from EverQuest Legends. Looking forward to this one!

The title screen of Trails in the Sky Second Chapter.

I knew buying EverQuest Legends would suck up most of my time, and it certainly did. All my free time has gone to that since the day I bought it. Now, though, I'm feeling pretty burnt out and want to move on to something else.

Love when artists post these big batches of doodles / sketches. Everything here looks awesome!

Zidane Avalon @zidaneavalon.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

I made a terrible mistake. I bought EverQuest Legends. EverQuest is absolute crack for me...Will be lost in Norrath for the next while, that's for sure.

Another sketch of my OC, Denim.

A portrait sketch of a catgirl with a spiky mohawk and sidelocks. She's looking directly at the camera. Her right eyebrow (our left) is split. She's wearing an ear clip on her right ear and has a slightly catty smile.

Finally watched the two Spider-verse movies. Should've watched those things ages ago. Absolutely loved them. Probably my favorite Spider-Man movies now. Can't wait for the third one!

Zidane Avalon @zidaneavalon.bsky.social · 20/07/2026

Haven't posted any sketches or doodles here in a very long while, so here's something I did to try to figure out how my OC's hair works. Unfortunately, I still don't understand it...

A sketch of a girl's head from a side view. The girl has a spiky mohawk, both cat ears and human ears, and some long strands of hair hanging down in front of her human ears. She is facing right.

Turns out the "old favorite" Neptunia series doesn't hit the same for me anymore. Played Sisters vs Sisters for like a day and a half and then moved on to Diablo 4, which I have spent a ton of time in so far

I've gone back to an old favorite series and am finally playing Neptunia: Sisters vs Sisters. Haven't played a Neptunia game in years.

I do believe playing through the FF7 remakes broke something in me. I'm not sure why those games in particular had such an effect on me, but they definitely changed something. I need to get back to creating stuff again. Even if it sucks, I feel like making it is better than not making it, ya know?

I'm still kind of reeling from beating the FF7 remakes. Those games gave me such an emotional high, and it always seems like those kinds of highs are immediately followed by an equally intense crash.

How about Iria, Gall Force or Record of Lodoss War?

Zidane Avalon @zidaneavalon.bsky.social · 29/03/2026

Same. I always kept a save file at the final boss of Xenogears just to be able to go back and watch the ending and hear the credits song. Anime scenes in those old games were always such a treat!

Zidane Avalon @zidaneavalon.bsky.social · 25/03/2026

Well, I finished FF7 Rebirth, and now I don't know what to do with my life. Never expected a video game to have such a wild emotional impact on me.

I think I'll be able to finish FF7 Rebirth this week. I'm almost 90 hours in and have been skipping Chadley's work for the last couple of chapters. I have no idea what game I'll move on to after this. Remake and Rebirth have been insane experiences.

Absolutely feel this, and I'm the same way with most things. I either remove it from my life all together or it becomes a keystone part of it.

I think I'm maybe halfway through FF7 Rebirth now. I'm loving how much more likable they've made pretty much everyone in these remakes. The mass amount of minigames and sidequests is still a bit off putting though.

020

Zidane Avalon @zidaneavalon.bsky.social · 26/02/2026

I had been wondering the same thing! I love Slayers and have suddenly been seeing art of Lina all over the place. I was like "Did something new get announced for Slayers or something? Why is it everywhere all of a sudden?"

030

Zidane Avalon @zidaneavalon.bsky.social · 22/02/2026

After finishing FF7 remake, I moved straight into Rebirth. While I am very much enjoying it so far, I'm a little put off by all the sidequest stuff. I'm in Chapter 4, and it feels like the amount of sidequests vs main story has been a 3:1 ratio thus far. Chadley demanding ALL my time...
