#Apoctober2026 days 2 and 3, 'Hatchling' and 'Weeds'
Pen and ink drawing of a bird hatchling laying on and ground with an unnaturally long and winding neck. It's dragging itself along the ground like a snake, with its small body trailing behind. It's weeping golden tears that have left a trail behind itPen and ink illustration of a field of pure black leafless dandelion-like plants bearing human facial features. Three plants in the foreground form a menacing face, with the two outer ones featuring eyes and the central one featuring a disembodied set of teeth

Long time no see bluesky! I was inspired by Jack from Subjectively to give #apoctober2026 a go. I give you The Weeping for day one's prompt 'slime'
An ink portrait of a hairless man with incredibly loose hanging skin. He is weeping golden tears and bears a pained expression

Poses are hard, but I'm committed to improvement 😤
Three rough sketches of dancers in dramatic poses drawn with permanent marker.

Wasn't sure how to post these, so I decided to post them together!
2D illustration of two figures in harsh lighting with a gap between them, the left one is unnaturally elongated

Some studies of dancers, because anatomy and poses scare me XD

It's been a while since I posted anything, so here's a bit of a sketch dump of my recent work!

May as well give this a shot!

I was a bit stuck with what I should make today, so I tried a #pixel_dailies prompt! Today's was #SmallTown @pixeldailies.bsky.social
A tiny isometric pixel art town on a floating platform. There are different lengths and widths of blue, pink, and purple houses, though most are square with triangular roofs. The town has roads and sidewalks, a park with a tree, and a duck pond.

Probably one of my best symmetrical designs from a series of 'mandalas' I did earlier this year. This piece was heavily inspired by the amazing horror game Darkwood. #vectorart #graphicart
A bird's-eye view vector graphic rendering of a square cabin in the dark woods at a 45-degree angle. In the center of the cabin is a square table and a chair set for one person. To the left is a bed flush with the walls, above is a desk strewn with papers and a book, and to the right is a prone body. Light radiates from the center of the cabin casts harsh shadows from all objects within, and casts four rays of light out windows at 45-degree angles. Trees cast deeper shadows from these light rays.

I didn't know this piece would tell a story, but I think the best art pieces always do! #pixelart
An isometric pixel art rendering of a small gravestone next to a large stone obelisk cloaked in shadowy grass. The obelisk is built from five tapering blocks, each inscribed with a white geometric rune on the left face. The obelisk stands atop a raised stone platform made from large flat stone bricks. A bouquet of yellow flowers lies on the ground before the gravestone

I thought I'd try something a bit different and ironically try to remake a past piece of mine, except in pixel art!
A pixel art depiction of a man resting below three tall angular crafts floating in a graveyard. The bottom of each craft resembles half of a safety razor, and pipes and cables jut out seemingly at random. One of the crafts is in the foreground, and the two on either side are in the near and far distance respectively. Symbols matching the graves glow in the middle of the crafts.

Here's the last piece I made recently. I'll have to see about finishing some more or digging through the depths of my computer storage before I post another!
A pixel art rendering of a whimsical Tudor-style wood and stucco house. The building has two stories, the second disproportionately larger than the first. The shingled roof angles up steeply and sticks out over the second-story. The background features an abstract depiction of a forest against a dithered gradient sky, while the foreground depicts two large trees on either side of the building.

People seem to prefer pixel art, so here's another one I made recently! I've been tearing through Adventure Time content recently since I finished the main show, and I just started Fiona and Cake! I'm not sure what I expected, but it's been wild and I'm not disappointed so far! #pixelart
A GameBoy-style pixel art rendering of a quaint Victorian farmhouse in a field. To the right of the house are three bales of hay, to the left is a water tank. The image is letterboxed as though it was a film.

A bit more of a throwback, and not pixel art this time! If you followed me on Instagram you might remember this one. It's a bit of a depiction of trypophobia and some general body horror grossness. #horrorart #trypophobia #graphicart
A large hole in a pale fleshy background is surrounded by 8 smaller holes, surrounded by 16 even smaller holes. Four pale bony fingers reach out from the central hole.

2-bit pixel art is something I like to try my hand at now and then, and then I remember why I do it so rarely. XD #pixelart #brutalism
2-bit pixel art rendering of a person walking a long narrow pathway suspended between two giant paneled walls. Both the path and the walls go off into the dark distance.

Have a newer piece! I remember trying to add even more detail at one point, but I'm still really happy with how this one came out.
A pixel art rendering of a dark silhouette with glowing eyes staring down a brick well at the viewer. The well and the figure recede into fog.

Another (relatively) old one! I remember this one being a real challenge to work out, what with the resolution and the incredibly restrictive colour palette, but I still managed to pull it off! I give you my pixel art interpretation of episode 1 of The Magnus Archive, 'Anglerfish'
A 1-bit isometric pixel art rendering of a man in a hoodie floating above the ground in a dark alleyway with his arm outstretched. Only his glowing eyes are visible, and the alleyway is made of old dirty bricks

Whooh boy, this one was a brainfuck and a half to get done. I went through several different iterations until I not only found something I liked, but something that actually made sense to me. XD I give you my rendition of 'The Spiral' from The Magnus Archives and my favourite avatar, Michael!
A pixel art rendition of the Penrose triangle, where each plane is a separate pure-white hallway lined with doors, one of which at the top right is slightly ajar. The floor is made of large square tiles. The dark silhouette of a lanky figure with glowing eyes in the top left rests with its legs dangling over the edge of one hallway into another.

This isn't a new piece, but it's still one I'm pretty proud of! It's a little vignette depicting episode 2 of The Magnus Archives, 'Do Not Open.' I had it in my mind at one point that I would make a whole series of these, but it turned out to be a bit too much work for me 😅 Maybe in the future!
An isometric pixel art depiction of a small room floating in a black void. The room has striped wall paper, a window on the left, a door on the right, and a coffin painted a skull and cross bones wrapped in chains in the center of a wooden floor. A steaming cup of coffee is placed on the coffin, and a key can be faintly seen suspended in a block of ice to the left of the coffin on the floor.

Anyone else start working on a project and then come back to reality four hours later, hungry and sore, realising that they haven't taken a single break? Just me? Anyways, have a piece based on The Magnus Archives episode 97 'We All Ignore the Pit'

Can I offer you a cute lil' pixel art house in these trying times?
