I took this picture today, feeling some things with the barrage of terrible news the last couple days. Each one hits hard, and each one leaves us behind in a world that looses another piece that brought us joy.

Spiny is one of my favorite Mario enemies, and when the Jakks 2.5” started popping up in the checkout lanes I thought it would be fun to just grab them when I find them. I think I need to put a limit on myself. I have 34 now.

Made this shortly after seeing the end of Amazing Digital Circus, but I don’t like showing spoiler type stuff when something just came out… then I forget about it. Anywho, have some Jax art!

So Catherine (Birdo) is my favorite character but Spiny is my favorite Mario creature. Right now there has been some 2.5” figures and I’m pretty much buying everyone I can find. I have no goal, I just adore this little bugger. Also one plush is an import the other Target. No difference.

Calling all ponies and sticker collectors! I am trying to find information about this sticker from Hot Topic back in 2013. I am trying to find if there was a Celestia that went with this, or if she was a solo. This screenshot is the closest I can get to details. #mlp #fim #sticker #hottopic #help

Screenshot of a pintress post from Hot Topic showing a Princess Luna sticker they had in 2013, along with a blurb about shopping for merch, and a dead link to the page it sold on.

A photo of my original sticker that I had made into a car magnet, or Princess Luna. Has some damage from being exposed to the elements for many years.

Early sketch of Farrah, some pattern and clothing ideas. Just baggy cloths really.

A more finalized look for Farrah, with some baggy pants and puffy vest. Also she is rude as she flips you off.

Some references sheets for Farrah’s cloths, with colours. Not entirely final.

Artists, quote with your faces (I probably should have zoomed in on some of these)

Colour pencil and ink of Sura trying to use a modern phone for the first time, they’re taking a selfie

Colour pencil and ink drawing of (honestly forget her name it’s been so long since I created her), wearing some clock parts, as she enjoys hearing the sounds of clocks. The way the ticks change depending on where the hand is as it goes around. She cannot see them, but see feels them like few others can.

Colour pencil and ink drawing of Zen messing with some pyrotechnics to find a better way to crack a nut, and luckily it was only a minor mistake.

Colour pencil and ink drawing of Lunarlight Prism using some of their magick to conjure a pretty spectacle. Has a certain resemblance to a mark that famous pony of Magic bears.

More trying to think about other things: As a toy addict, I like to see if my stuff has value, but I don’t actually care if I can make money off it. When I found this it was market valued about $500, from 12.99. I really wanted this, so finding this at retail was worth more than selling it.

I barely did much art this year, I did manage to make a couple stickers. Going into the new year I hope to get more creativity done, between my arts, and also my 3D Printer ideas. Not my first stickers, these are what I did this year and am happy with them. Smiling Critters, CatNap and Dog Day.

Shown is my original colour pencil and ink drawing of a CatNap head from Smiling Critters, with Sleepy Gas coming out and creating a split so one side is normal and the other side is Nightmare. Text below reading Sweet Nightmares. Some notes and colour tests on the page. Also is the finished sticker.

Shown is a colour pencil and inked drawing head of Dog Day from Smiling Critters, that has a VHS artifacting that splits the image into normal and ruined, with text “a Dreadful Day”. Notes and colour tests on the page, and the finished sticker.

So yesterday as I went to do some shopping, I looked in the toy aisle for my Micro Galaxy ships, and happen to be there just as an employee was berating a scalper for trying to buy all the Pokemon cards that were literally just stocked.

A lucky find of Pokemon Destined Rivals, taken out of a scalper’s shopping cart full of cards that en employee stopped them from clearing out the store.

ETB, two three pack blisters and three single packs, to be enjoyed by actual collectors, and not to be resold like some slummy scalpers.
