I also have the novels situated, but that'll be saved for another day. I'm also working on cataloging the "Real Gundam" one-shots that have been scattered across history, but this project has me a bit tired, so it'll be a bit before the others become available.

Serialization dates don't exactly match the debut dates. I elected to organize them by when the actual compilation volumes first started dropping. It'll likely make more sense once I have established detailed deep-dive pages. Apologies if there is confusion there.

I get the nostalgia for the old dub. That's totally me with Gundam Wing. This just feels like it's playing into the "we dunno what the hell were doing" even more. I should stop trying to think when it comes to them and US stuff 🤣

That and the original script was wooden and stilted as all heck. There was no oversight from Sunrise, so they didn't really give it as much finesse as they could have unlike dubs nowadays. I think that's why people have such a hard time with the new dub. It sounds like people are actually talking.

Resident Evil movie wasn't what I thought it'd be. It works as a return-to-form and you've got equal-parts horror, campy schtick, tragedy, and the thrill factor, but I wish it set up for more. I'm one of those people sad we didn't see an Umbrella logo. The third act though... Hard to read that.

V3 went up to Chapter.12. Gundam Ace was at Chapter.22 last I saw (September 2026 Issue). Novelization died off too, so that's another frustrating thing.

If I had to guess, the initial license window granted was too short, printer delays severely impacted their getting the titles out timely enough that they were forced back to the negotiation table only to be slapped with a request for higher cuts. I can't see renegotiation for higher royalties...

I do have to wonder (again) at how they're going to release Zeta Define. Anything less than 4 titles a year for that release is going to be a VERY hard sell. Thunderbolt didn't even crack 100K for the first 22 volumes...

Saw this on Reddit, but I have a very hard time believing it's the JPN side and "royalties." Unless they have to license each dang vol, what wonky clause in the terms allows for retroactive "give us more of a cut"? First it was the printer in China prioritizing larger orders and now royalties. 🤔

That's honestly part of why I want to retranslate it. It's a bit ironic that a pirate cares more about a timely release of a series than the actual publisher. Plus, you can't even buy volume 1 in print anymore.
