Did two(sorta) models today, dragging myself ever closer to a playable list. It's gun mages all the way down from here. #warmachine #nerdlings

Finished Major Caine for my warmachine. Went a tiny bit off book but stuck relatively close to the traditional colour scheme for him. Happy with how it turned out even if my gravediggers are gonna take a real while to reach the table at this rate. #warmachine ##miniaturepainting #nerdlings

Painted model of Major Allister Caine from Warmachine Mk4's Cygnar range, sporting the traditional blue gold Cygnar plates, and a brown duster coat and red neckercheif while firing jos dual magelock pistols, yee haw.

Progress is slow and the horrors persist. But here is an update on a project I undertook to build a gravediggers army and return home to my native Cygnar.

Buck Hasker and Deuce from Warmachine Mk4 Gravediggers army. Both are sporting the traditional blue/gold cygnar colours, with occasional silver or grey. Both are standing on what looks like a beachhead or riverbank.

It's wild realising I follow a lot of mini painters to find out some of the peeps I randomly followed are actually the ones who painted to models that inspired some of my current paint schemes. Case in point, my shadowflame shard, which I don't think I fully posted. #warmachine #miniaturepainting

A collection of Shadowflame shard nocturnes and a Hydrix from warmachine Mk4, painted like bone golems or animated undead monsters.

A collection of shadowflame shard incarnates from warmachine Mk4, painted like bleached bone undead horrors, with some coppery weapons, red eyes and neon green glow.

Magnus and Invictus from Warmachine mk4, who for some reason is happy to chill out with shadowflame. He has more gold and green on him than last time he was posted on this account.

MARRIED!!!! @zelfeldspar.bsky.social On 30/03/25 I got to marry the love of my life! It was a perfect day, surrounded by many of our beloved family and friends!! We're so grateful for everything and everyone.. this day was truly a dream come true. 🤍

Photo from our wedding ceremony taken from the Audience, of myself (Bride) and the Groom sharing a kiss.

On the right of the photo is myself, with a white based dress, lightly coloured with a pink and purple flower print. The dress has many ruffles, short off the shoulder puff sleeves, and a very princess like vibe.

On the left of the photo is the groom with a simple black suit, with a silver armoured plate on his right shoulder, attached to a black Cape.

Surrounding us is a beautiful view of the sky through the open windows of our venue, and many decorations like flowers, Lanterns and iridescent fabrics.

Photo cred to one of our beautiful friends who took so many photos!

I have been lax in posting because I was trying to cut down on doomscrolling. But I was improving my mental health with some painting projects recently!

A kitbashed warhammer 40k inquisitor model made from a stormcast, escher and tempestus scion parts.
Lore: The inquisitor, a member of a faction calling themselves Castigators, known for their gold masks, goes by the name Nova.
She has a dark black robe with silver lining, silver armour and purple tomes and scrolls. Her armour is marked with purity seals and she carries a Combi-needler, a full Poison vial also visible on her belt. Her right arm is a raised power fist weapon with blue energy. She stands on a ruined coppery cityscape amidst green sludge.

Five deathwatch terminator models from the warhammer 40k franchise. The terminators have a mix of close range weapons including a thunder hammer, three pairs of blue and green lightning claws, and one heavy flamer. They all bear the black deathwatch armour with silver arm and gold embossed symbols. Their powered armour has red glowing eyes and lights. They stand on ruined copper cityscapes amidst green sludge.

One painted primarch model from the warhammer 40k franchise. Rather than the standard colours for Roboute Guilliman, this model has its helmet on and a pearlescant silver sheen to its futuristic armour. It wields a blue flaming sword and stands on a copper rubble pile surrounded by green waste.
Lore-wise, the model fills a monster/vehicle role for some of my armies, so the idea was that this entity is "The Invocation of the Emperor" - an entity summoned through the sacrifice and prayers of the faithful of Balthinus IV, who believed they could summon the emperor by giving their flesh and will to a giant suit of armour. The creature that answered them took upon a form that very much mirrored their beliefs in image, and protects their world like a divine guardian. The inquisitors, though being deeply suspicious of its origin and purity, tolerate its use as it seems to assist the populace in following broad ecclesiarchical doctrine. Don't look a gift guardian in the mouth.

One deathwatch gravis captain, one deathwatch captain and one deathwatch Lieutenant from the warhammer 40k miniatures line.
All three have black space-knight armour, with gold affectations and a silver arm. The leader has a grey-red cloak and the others have grey-red tabards.
Lore-wise, as these models are either used as HQ choices or a stand-in for Marneus Calgar, the Gravis model is known as Supreme Commander Actium, with the two others being his honour guard. Actium himself wields a powerful deathwatch relic blade, and a power fist with attached combi-melta for ranged attacks.
His bodyguards both wield storm shields and green power swords.
All three stand on coppery ruined cityscape bases with green toxic waste around them.

Hey bluesky. Been a bit. Wedding prep has been keeping me busy! Nearly done with the pile of shame... or at least the one in my paints box. And once that's done there's about 5 other places I'm hiding other shame-piles. Shh. #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings

A painted, converted warhammer 40k servitor model - a large shambling corpse with mechanical apparatus grafted onto it. The entire model's right arm has been replaced with a double-barrelled multi-melta, a thermal weapon that fires a superheated beam that melts armour. The servitor has steel, grey and red colours, with pale flesh. It walks on coppery tiles with green radioactive sludge underfoot.

A kitbashed warhammer 40k primaris judiciar model. They are an armoured, futuristic knight in black and silver deathwatch power armour. They have white cloth purity seals everywhere, silver and gold relics hanging from them and a shining green sword. They are pointing downish, which considering they're an 8 foot murder knight in lore implies they're pointing at someone they're about to introduce to their power sword. They have menacing looking pale flesh on the only part of their body visible, their head, and gold armour trim. They stand on coppery gravel and metallic gratings with radioactive green sludge underneath.

So I *was* taking a picture to show off a few minis I worked on this year for #2024hobbyroundup but my son he was very interested to know what was going on, so here is three extra pictures of him ❤️ #ferret #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings

Four warhammer 40k miniatures, an interrogator with red coat and pink hair and an autopistol holding a book, an inquisitor with power sword, condemnor boltgun and fabulous hat, a custodian guard with her guardian spear, silver-gold armour and purple cape, and a deathwatch watch captain with combi weapon and magma coloured sword. All standing on a fortress of redemption missile silo, an militaristic metal compound.

The same image as before but with a curiously approaching sable ferret.

The same image as the first but now with the ferret looking over the fortress' battlements at the miniatures.

The same image as before but with the ferret looking even closer at the other miniatures to make sure he's inspected all of them.

A female custodian from warhammer 40k. Styled as an ornately adorned futuristic knight with silver and gold plate armour and regal purple cloth. She has a guardian spear - which is a halberd like weapon with a gun at the end. She's holding the spear outward in one hand, with her other in a counter balancing position. She is standing on a base of ruined paving stones with green sludge between them. She has dark brown skin and onyx hair visible on her head.

The same miniature as before, but showing the purple and gold cape at the back, which leafy gold ornamentation.

The same miniature as before but at a slightly different angle to give a bit of a view of the model's face. She looks stern and focused, with her hair falling over one side of her face.

Refurbished two more of my old 25mm marines into Deathwatch veterans. These were my old Company Champion and Emperor's champion. It's good to see them back. The left one was the first one I built when I started collecting space marines. #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings

Two space marines from warhammer 40k. They have the look of futuristic knights, and have been repainted with the deathwatch black armour, gold trim and silver arm, with grey and red cloth. The left holds a green power sword with one hand, pointing its finger at its opponent to issue a challenge. The right has a green power sword raised to the sky and a black shield with a gold skull emblem. They stand on a base of green sludge and metallic rock.

Today's painting efforts. Had a power outage in the middle. Good thing I decided to do computer games first and painting second! Put a poll to my gaming group for what minis to paint. They helpfully split all their votes evenly. #paintingwarhammer #nerdlings

A warhammer 40k chaos lord miniature. Painted in the style of a warcraft death knight, with blue glowing energy coming from the coils of his plasma pistol, the head of his daemon maul, and the pipes all over his body. His armour is black and white with silver trim. He has his old helmet from before the fall, knight-like, with glowing blue eyes. He strides forward across a corroded metal and green sludge filled base, with weapons lowered.

A warhammer 40k inquisitor built off of a warhammer underworlds miniature. The inquisitor is a coated woman with a brownish grey duster coat, grey leather accessories and a fabulous wide brim hat. She has dark skin and hair from what can be seen under the brim of the hat. She has a converted condemnor boltgun which is a grenade launcher with a stake launcher attached. The boltgun is red and grey, with the sword in her other hand glows blue from its power field. She looks to be cautiously walking across a corroded metal and green sludge landscape.

Both miniatures from earlier, standing next to each other, to indicate that I managed to complete them in the two hours I gave myself. Yippee.
