Just finished, what I would consider, the greatest trilogy to ever be conceived. 'The Human Condition' is such a jawdropping work of art that I don't think will ever be topped.

Seeing Imminence live for the second time and I forgot how cool it is to see a guy scream with a violin pressed up against his neck. Metal and violin go so fucking well together, it hits HARD.

Honestly, there's so many more films that I can put here, but these all mean a LOT to me on unimaginable levels. Every single one helped me grow as a person and become somewhat more mature. There's still lots of lessons to be learned for me but I'm comfortable where I'm at. Thx for reading :3 🖤

Love Exposure (2008) dir. Sion Sono Honestly, they should have stopped making films after this one. An epic rom-com drama action film that has literally everything; Kung-Fu, Yuri, Crossdressing, Panties, Lust, Betrayal, Cults,... Too much to put down, this literally does not spoil anything. (11/11)

A very slow burn that's extremely intricate, seeing everyone their connection with one another and all the different kinds of relationships hits on a different level. It's just, a unique experience. But damn, did it hit where it was supposed to hit. There's too much to unpack, please watch. (10/?)

Still Walking (2008) dir. Hirokazu Kore-eda Kore-eda's portrayal of family is personal to him, but something resonates with me a lot. More so the fact that this topic deals with grief and the loss of a family member. You know when someone dies, they don't really go away, right? (cont/10/?)

Sometimes all you really got to do with a person is let them be, let them be themselves more specifically. Trying to change the way someone's brain is wired is nearly impossible, but if you somehow manage to, they will become a shell of themselves. Never able to go to the way they were before. (9/?)

A Woman Under The Influence (1974) dir. John Cassavetes Cassavetes manages to capture humanity in nearly every movie he does, feels like he just found a random family and put the camera in front of them, observing. Gena Rowlands gives a performance so natural, it's unsettling to watch. (cont/9/?)

Autumn Sonata (1978) dir. Ingmar Bergman Just a mother and a daughter talking about life. First half being as MASSIVE setup for the second's half pay-off. Two people talking haven't felt this engaging to me and most likely never will, the relationship they have is deeply emotional. (8/?)

The Killer (1989) dir. John Woo An unlikely bond forms between a cop and a killer. This is a very fun, exhilarating, thrilling, melodramatic gun-fu film from the late 80s. Very much one of the greatest action films of all time. Choreography is superb, and everything just feels like a dance. (7/?)

Memories of Matsuko (2006) dir. Tetsuya Nakashima Tragedy masked as comedy. I absolutely adore everything about this. It full on is an anime, but live action, done superb. Stylish, fun, sad, drama, musical, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. This is one that I heavily recommend. (6/?)

Sing Street (2016) dir. John Carney Just as the poster says! Boy meets a girl, girl does not like him, so the boy starts a band! This one just rules so much. There's a VERY good emotional beat to it that does not get undermined by everything else that's happening. Just pure JOY. (5/?)

Swing Girls (2004) dir. Shinobu Yaguchi Light-hearted comedy about a group of people that mistakenly poison the entire brass band, needing to replace them. Eventually they all fall in love with playing Jazz. Very much an uplifting experience, one of my comfort movies. (4/?)

Mysterious Skin (2004) dir. Gregg Araki A tale of 2 boys sharing trauma, one tries to find answers, the other remembers everything. Putting a MASSIVE content warning on this as the topic of discussion is difficult to digest. I'm not able to recommend this but it's still important to watch. (3/?)

At just shy of 4 hours, this movie solidifies itself as my all time favourite. Cinematic masterpiece from every single standpoint. Sometimes it’s better to stay here. Since this is the only place where you can actually learn to live with your problems. (2/?)

An Elephant Sitting Still (2018) dir. Hu Bo A Chinese melodrama about 4 people dealing with their own fair share of personal struggles. Events take place during a singular day where their stories eventually intertwine with each other as they search for an elephant that is sitting still. (cont/2/?)

Oldboy (2003) dir. Park Chan-Wook Messed up South-Korean revenge story that made me fall in love with everything cinema. This made me realise that films can do so much more than just entertain you. They're also able to properly disturb you. God, that third act STILL gives me goosebumps. (1/?)

I'm stable now. A series of incidents led me to the hospitalisation, but I'm okay now. I'm really, really, sorry for all the distress I caused. It's all my fault. Don't want to go too deep in the public space. But I'm okay. I apologise.
