Agreed. I actually do a ~500 mile return trip to the office once a month and it costs far less in my EV than it did when I had petrol/diesel cars. Rest of the time I do <10 miles/day, which is where the EV is really economical.

I switched from EDF to E.on as it's 4.99p from 12am-6am. Full charge costs ~£3.70 and easily returns 300 miles. As my car easily achieves 4 miles/kWh I only need another ~50kWh for this 500 mile journey. I've never paid more than £0.40/kWh, even at motorway services, so the whole trip costs <£25.

A portion of them will also be spiteful individuals, believing they have enough means to pay for private medical cover (usually massively underestimating the cost of medical care) and/or that they're young/fit enough to not need it. The kind of people that punch down to feel good about themselves.

The gym I go to is mostly a Faraday cage as its metal roof and structure help largely keep mobile signals out. Unfortunately due to the number of complaints from people unable to get online, they then had had to introduce free WiFi 🤦🏽‍♂️

Struggling to get an appointment with Specsavers, tried my local independent optician instead & was left thoroughly disappointed. Prices were very high, got my prescription wrong the first time, and generally just bumbled along. Shocked they've been around for so long. Ended up back at Specsavers.

I have a relative who enjoys going to the gym and has clearly been using PEDs for some years now. Last year he needed 3 stents as his arteries were clogged. Swears blind it's because of the 2 COVID vaccines he was given 5 years ago and not due to the PEDs, which he denies taking 🤦🏽‍♂️

Had courtesy car for few days in summer & it didn't have adaptive cruise or lane keeping assist. Really struggled initially to drive on motorway as so used to having both. Made me realise how much of the work the car is usually doing for me. For a £60k car to not have these is also a disgrace!
