I recently shifted focus from the book I'm writing to a short story set in the same world for an upcoming writing contest. The ramifications of the side story are still felt in the time of the book. I've found that fleshing out that story is informing my writing in great ways. Win-win! #booksky 📚💙

I find so many of them with a majority of teenagers writing 50 words and wanting critiques. That’s not the vibe I’m going for. I want guidance, camaraderie, tough love.
