The Russians win it on turn 7! Super tense, tight game. All four powers declared an objective on turn 7 Need to play more, but it’s so different in how it plays from Twilight Struggle. You have so much less control with fewer cards and more opponents—I really liked it!

Enjoying the beautiful ‘New Cold War’ from @vucasimulations.bsky.social A very interesting iteration of the Twilight Struggle system! #BoardWargames

How is the app? Looks like it hasn’t been updated in a few years. I’ve got the game on my Steam Deck, but I can’t just whip that out at all occasions to play

That’s what we’ll do in the future—I think it was good to see how everything works through the entire process It’s a fantastic game; one of the best 3-players around

First campaign game of Churchill by @gmtgames.bsky.social & @markherman54.bsky.social Such a wonderfully tense game—very much a learning experience for my group. UK crushes the competition in a conditional surrender #BoardWargames

What did you ask of the other games in the series? I’ve heard mixed reviews

Reracked the scenario after a convincing French victory the 1st time around The RN tried anchoring much deeper + uniform in the bay, squared up with the French 3rd rates and held their own They win on the final turn as the French miss a roll by a single die-face—lot of depth in this one

There’s no solo specific mode, but it’s easy to play solo. Much easier than a CDG

Zach Berly @zberly.bsky.social · 30/11/2024

I’m playing this solo! Since there’s no hidden information, it’s easy to do Daunting given some of the sizes of the scenarios, but there are smaller ones!

First stages of the Battle of Porto Praya Bay from @gmtgames.bsky.social Flying Colors Royal Navy tried anchoring in the bay to tear apart Suffren’s advancing fleet, but so far have been carved up by superior maneuvering The Romney has taken extensive damage #boardwargames

Got in a good session of Here I Stand today! Can’t get enough of this game. Played as Protestants/England and fell to a Hapsburg auto-win on Turn 3 #Boardgaming
