Denmark crushed its group in World Cup qualifying. Their vice captain is a 32 year-old center back who looked average on a below average '24 KC Current D. Please have them face Linda Caicedo and Leicy Santos. Shoot, have them face Temwa and Tabitha. Danes are better as an 18 but they'll sweat it.

I just realized a certain player who is 22 and has played every match in the midfield for OL was not brought into the Senior team. She was not brought in the the U23 team either. Interesting.

A special circle of hell for people using AI generated images to sell trees, but the specific tree varieties look *nothing* like the AI image generated! You can't be ****ed to walk outside and snap a picture of the tree and then upload it to the internet???

With their comeback win on Saturday, the Kansas City has recovered 16 points from losing positions this season (W4 D4)

Found a very, very reasonable scenario where a loss on Decision Day puts KC in 9th place but a win puts KC in 3rd place.

Many people are saying Sam Coffey should come to the Kansas City Current due to the looming penalties Man City is facing due to financial rule breaches.

Worth a listen to hear Lindsey Heaps' perspective on the Denver-KC Current match, as well as thoughts on Spain. This has been a pretty good series.

I have to give Jessica Berman credit for what she did in 2022. It was *not* easy to balance the need to bring players into the process while being the nominal face of ownership that comes with being a Commissioner. It's not perfect, but NWSL is thriving now because the players were given a voice.

I lamented that NWSL didn't sign European players in their primes in this summer window, but I wonder if there is a collective sense among GMs that these players are overvalued compared to equally talented non-Europeans? Is there some truth to the Soccerdonna in that there is a bubble in the market?

A Very Secret Service
Broadchurch

Chappelle's Show
Victoria
Stranger Things
Sherlock
Derry Girls
Formula 1: Drive to Survive
Godless

Rewrite: Kansas City and Salt Lake City are the only metros with both an MLS and NWSL team and without a City, FC, or SC moniker. Ironically, maybe non-Americans assume the “City” on Kansas City is a moniker. It’s not, as it’s an integral part of the main city’s name.

Trying to decipher this across NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS, WNBA, and NWSL. I think 30 unbeaten is the third-longest regular season streak in pro North American sports history, but can’t confirm. Mid-‘90s Chicago Bulls, mid-‘70s MTL Canadiens had longer streaks.

3/3 - @thekccurrent.bsky.social's Haley Hopkins is the third player in #NWSL history to score a regular-season hat-trick on just three shot attempts after Jazmine Reeves in 2014 and Ludmila in 2025. Efficient.

Offense has a the tendency to get predictable. Like Kenza Dali said last week they sometimes just wait for mistakes. KC much better in the last 15 minutes with better pressure. Denver CBs have been extremely good.
