While I was at BioWare, EA *always* preferred Mass Effect, straight up Their Marketing team liked it more. It was modern. It had action. They never quite knew what to do with DA, and whenever DA outperformed ME, ME got the excuses. If you ask me, it was always just shy of the axe since DA Origins.

The one struggle of being on this med is that it is giving me a slightly increased anxiety (apparently normal when starting) so I’m supposed to stop coffee 😭 so now I have a withdrawal headache and anxiety 🤣 I’m trusting the process though. It will be worth it I’m sure 🤞

Very random and pretty TMI but I finally got a diagnosis from a psychiatrist and I am finally starting medicine for my mental health… this is day 1, and here is to a healthy mind! 🥹 I hope to feel relief soon, although, I know it takes a few weeks to notice a difference.

bringing this back because it's hilarious, this fandom never changes, and sometimes I think devs should be meaner actually lmao #dragonage #fandombullshit

a screenshot of a tumblr ask from David Gaider's defunct tumblr:

Alistair Never Loved You

I’ve heard the “Alistair never loved you” thing before. Where does it come from? Is that some kind of inside joke? Because it seems mean. — Anonymous fan question

dgaider

Oh. Yes, I suppose it is an inside joke.

In DAO Awakening, there was an item you could find—an old snow globe which commemorated the wedding of Cailan and Anora (as it said on a little plaque, according to the description). I think it was a gift item.

Anyhow, this fan came to the BSN and raged about how this snow globe of Alistair and Anora’s wedding had clearly voided her DAO ending choice of marrying Alistair. How dare the game do that, Alistair was her one and true love, etc. etc. There were lots of ALL CAPS and exclamation points and angry words.

My response was to suggest that, if she’d read the snow globe’s description very carefully, she would see that what the plaque actually said was “Alistair Never Loved You.”

I now have a snow globe on my desk now which says exactly that, given to me by a fan at a con. It makes me smile.

Mat Cauthon (Dónal Finn) duels Gawyn (Luke Fetherston) and Galad (Callum Kerr). As they swing at him from opposite sides with their swords, he blocks their attacks with his upraised quarterstaff as he lunges between them.

Actor Josha Stradowski is crouching over a small wooden box, gripping its handles with both hands. He wears an oversized, dark pinstripe suit jacket with long, draping sleeves, revealing part of his bare chest. His shaved head and intense gaze are directed at the camera, giving the image a striking and dramatic feel. The background features an industrial-style setting with a tiled floor and a ceiling lined with beams, creating a moody, minimalist aesthetic

2/ There was a desire in S3 to add more size and scale to our world, and the WT was the perfect place to demonstrate this early on. Block 1 Director Ciaran Donnelly presented a concept early in the process that visualised this location which Ondřej Nekvasil then developed further

1/ Continuing the theme of VFX involvement in the WOT S3 Sneak Peak, I present the Entrance Hall of The White Tower, a near full CG shot. We again called on the abilities of Outpost VFX to show an area of the WT never seen before in the show #TheWheelOfTime #WoTSkies

The White Tower Entrance Hall shot in Season 3 Episode 1. Three huge Aes Sedai statues loom over the large open floor of the circular meeting hall - a large, round stained-glass window behind the head of each statue. Strong sunlight from top screen right mixes with atmos in the air. A group of Aes Sedai quickly walk through the middle of the open floor, as groups of other Aes Sedai chat quietly in the shadows

Sections of Aes Sedai crowd elements shot against green screen with practical lighting matching closely to the final shot

Greyscale render of the White Tower Entrance Hall shot in Season 3 Episode 1, demonstrating all the CG components of the shot with Aes Sedai crowd elements placed in the scene.

Friendly reminder: ALWAYS vet block lists you sub to, even after you sub to them. A lot of bad actors out there make lists that are really for people they don't like but title it under the guise of something else. Or they bait & switch by adding people who are the opposite of what the lists claims.
