Oh I just realized what fed poster actually is. I agree with the other comment; find an audience before trying to automate posts. Automated posts will not get you an audience faster.

Mastodon has existed for a while. Sure, there aren't any *first party* desktop apps, but some of the third party ones work just as well.

The only way you're going to get what you're looking for is if you do a whole lot of RL on an existing open-weight model.

Current LLM training methods are brute-force. However, better methods have not been discovered and might not even exist, with only some evidence of the possibility. Billions of dollars are being put into finding optimizations, and you're simply not going to be able to compete without a LOT of money.

If you've read it, the Bible isn't really favorite book material, but it sure does have some good stuff. I don't have much respect for people who use the Bible as a weapon.

In that case, I'm not sure you'll actually get anything usable out of that. It costs over ~100 million dollars to train the NVIDIA open source models, and they aren't even that good. To be brutally honest, I don't expect this model to hit all of the targets, but I would love to be proven wrong.

I don't think the term "friendslop" is good because "slop" suggests that the game is cheaply made or low quality. But the reality is that these 5 dollar "friendslop" games are very well made and they are fun. In a time where video games cost 80 dollars I think this is very good value for money.

Oh, you mentioned pre training. What's your compute budget?

Are you going to base it off of an existing open-weight model?

It's not even that important. Don't pay too much attention to social media; it gives diminishing returns.

Since that post, I put a lot of effort into changing my mindset. Instead of stressing over every detail (which resulted in low quality content), I'm just creating and speaking more freely.

Please let me have affordable RAM and storage. I preordered the #Framework13Pro but did not include RAM+storage in the order, hoping I will find a better deal elsewhere 🤞. AI isn't useful enough to justify ruining the economy bro

git.colormatic.org/ColormaticSt... The main reason was that the Gitea CI container didn't support Bun and was too large, but also because I wanted lightweight production-ready containers to build software with that have the right diagnostic tools.

You spend too much time making it look good in Storybook, not enough time making it work in your app. Doesn't happen for everyone, but in a team it is a common problem.

I made a new browser from scratch. It combines all of the nice features from Firefox and Chrome into one fast package. Here's the code: ``` import "firefox"; import "chrome"; (firefox + chrome).run() ``` (this is a satire of cursor.com/blog/scaling...) #programming

This debate of "what is a fish" has occupied a lot of my brain space recently. Most people exclude fully aquatic mammals from being fish because they are part of the terrestrial clade, so I guess fish are vertebrates that haven't left the water at some point.
