Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026I think if anything were to overshadow driving a loco, then the arrival of a new Bouncing Baby Brannan would do it. Congratulations on both really, even if it wee time ago! 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026Yep. All very intriguing, but I think I'd want to remain anonymous too, just in case any legal accusations happened. 020 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026They somehow look totally at home all over southern Europe. Lovely sunset too! You'll be devastated to hear its been overcast and rainy here. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026Yes, much appreciation from me, both for Happy Little Diodes and Sky. It seems a perfectly workable and fair solution. 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026Its an incredible find. I had thought (like many) that the original designs were totally lost, or locked up somewhere legally unobtainable. I'd love to know the full back story, it seems odd selling that sort of thing on Ebay. Possibly a deceased's estate? 120 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026Those wee mountain goats of a car will still be around next century. Very priddy view. 100 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 15/10/2026Well Gertrude Jekyll could be quite casual (also, cat!): 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 14/10/2026I'm told those yellow driving glasses work really well against LED lights. I think you can get clip on ones to wear on prescription lenses. 100 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 14/10/2026Modern compilation times make me forget how long it used to take. I remember when I was on my degree placement, 20 minutes was a quick compile for simple database prog. My Speccy and 64 programming didn't quite get that advanced. All done on paper first though! 110 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 13/10/2026In anything historical, they always seem to dress the room for EXACTLY that year. Like a 1953 kitchen has a 1953 unit, 1953 crockery, 1953 cutlery etc. Nobody had that, it would all be stuff you collected over the years. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 13/10/2026Blimey. Talk about "behind the curtain", that's the absolute origin of Paradroid's look and feel. Using graph paper always made me feel like I had more control over things, but it took forever. 110 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I think it was a cost-reduced design for Commodore. The high price was probably to make sure the bread bin design sold out first. Although some Bread bins also got the pcb... 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Designed in Bradford, made in Shropshire! How could it ever be boring! 😆 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Meanwhile, here in Yorkshire, Yorkshire Water have declared a drought (yes, seriously). (Of course its also raining here...) 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Yeah, I think it would look better as an estate anyway. 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 07/10/2026At least the Mk.X had a rear window you could see out of. 😎 110 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Must be early winter holigays! Enjoy yourself/selves! 100 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 07/10/2026I dislike it not because I wouldn't have one, or because it isn't an XJ6. I dislike it because I think Jaguar could do a heck of a lot better, in terms of making a car that would sell more units, and with a higher profit per unit. 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Its been really rather overcast here in glamorous Wakefield, but to further add to the somewhat autumnal and halloweeny vibe, its now a fine misty drizzle. (That would make a great drag name for a meteorologist!) 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Great times! I used to love looking at all the programmable calculators. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Pretty much the only thing I can think of that answers the space and range problems, while being 2-3 years old and not being SUVs are Teslas. And if you are anything like me, the whiff of fascism there isn't good. Audi A6 avant e-trons seem to be dropping in price pretty quickly, as VAG panics. 110 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 28/09/2026😲Good grief. I'd love to see the purchaser's collection/museum. 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 28/09/2026😬😬😬 "Humerus?" "Not really, no." I broke my left arm almost exactly there too (points at x-ray) when I was 11. Funnily enough, I also fell off my bike. Pile of gravel in this instance. Wishing it a swift recovery! 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 25/09/2026La plus ca change etc. 19 years since this Escort design was published. (Credit to Rajesh Kutty, Coventry Uni and www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2007... ) 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 25/09/2026\o/ Looks great. Well, as much as a mirror shell can, I suppose. 110 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Its either a stylish Ikea SPLOMPSBONK, or a freshly painted wing mirror shell... 110 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Aww blessem, they will be able to talk to each other, casually (yet stylishly) smoking particularly smelly cigarettes and comparing ailments. I know at least one of them is a heavy smoker anyway. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Kids get THE coolest stuff! Although I just found out you can get Heelys in adult sizes... 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Glad its not just me! 2:30pm here. All the 4 and 5 hour sleeps this week catching up on me. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 20/09/2026A nice clear sky here too (for once). Its definitely autumn-ing now. 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Mk 4 Mondeo was my thought too. Taxi drivers, particularly ones who did airport work, absolutely loved them. Garages could fix them in their sleep. Probably too similar to Betty though. 031 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026There was me thinking it was mostly confined to Pistonheads! 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 18/09/2026That would be the sensible and logical way, yes 😁 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I'm surprised you aren't looking for a LHD old Fiat Panda with a view to restoring it before taking it to Spain. I guess you would have most of Europe to choose from, and it would be a fantastic caper. 100 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 14/09/2026True! Plenty to be proud of there though. Especially as its just you being you. No fakery, no big marketing. Just decent car nerding that many of us can identify with :) 010 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 12/09/2026You are quite a way in front of the Stig. And that is not something I ever thought I would write... 110 0

Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Sounds like you might have had a rough 24hrs, so I reckon you deserve a little chill gaming time. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 04/09/2026It looks a really nice car! Must admit I'd like to try an oldschool hydro suspension Citroen, but not sure I'm bold enough to actually own one. 000 0
Mike Cowgill @zadster.bsky.social · 01/09/2026Vangelis too. Very much my kinda thing then (and now really). Reminds me of doing maths homework, and Speccy programming. Also, memories of my German pen-pal and doing French at school. Back when the world seemed so much more exotic, and the future was amazing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZaL...youtube.comVangelis, Albedo 0.39 - PulsarYouTube video by retaliatorek 010 0
