Today, #KashPatel sent a letter to my counsel @markzaidesq.bsky.social threatening to sue & demanding I retract my MSNBC comments on his unfitness to serve as FBI Director. This follows his threats against media & political opponents, showing how he might act if confirmed. I stand by my statements.

Jeff Bezos said he is "proud" of his decision to block the Washington Post's endorsement of Harris (which the publisher of the paper initially suggested he had nothing to do with) and "very optimistic" about the Trump presidency and Trump's plans "around reducing regulation"

Jeff Bezos Says He Is “Proud” of Decision to End Endorsements at Washington Post, “Very Optimistic” About Second Trump Term
The Amazon founder said that he is working on a plan to turn around the Post: "We saved the Washington Post once, this will be the second time."

Why framing matters. The day(s) after Election Day, the general vibe was that Trump won and it wasn't close. That fed the narrative that it was a "mandate" and a "landslide." In reality it was neither.

I'm indebted to The Telegraph for reminding me about that time in 2022 when Labour gave unfunded tax breaks to the rich in a mini budget that tanked the economy, crashed the pound and massively increased interest rates.
Headline says your mortgage rate is about to go up by £700 and it's all Labour's fault

Best Buy CEO says 60% of their products are made in China, and Trump’s tariffs will send prices soaring. But don’t worry, Trump’s plan to build a smartphone factory in Kansas should be ready "in two weeks"

This from the co-owners of GB News says what many have suspected ....GB News is a political project To be an Ofcom regulated broadcaster the station is specifically not allowed to be politically biased. It can have shows which lean one way or another, but the balance must exist across a schedule.

The idea that CFPB is duplicative is horseshit. The reason it was created is that there is no other regulatory agency whose job it is to look out for consumers being ripped off by complex financial products. Thats why ppl like Musk having being trying to eliminate it since its creation.

Remember how Meta suspended the Threads account tracking Mark Zuckerberg's private jet? www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2... The Bluesky account saw the jet landed in Palm Beach yesterday, and Zuck had a private Mar-a-Lago meeting with Trump today: www.nytimes.com/live/2024/11...

Meta suspends accounts tracking Trump, Bezos jets, echoing Elon Musk’s X
Instagram and Threads blocked accounts sharing public data on Mark Zuckerberg’s and Donald Trump’s private planes. A similar move on X stirred up a free-speech firestorm.

Alexander Vindman is a patriot. Elon Musk, himself an oligarch, is drunk on power and out of control.
Post from Brian Allen:

BREAKING: Elon Musk accuses Alexander Vindman of working for Ukrainian oligarchs, labeling him a traitor and suggesting he could face the death penalty.

This is where we are now—billionaires playing judge, jury, and executioner.

Even if you're not moved by the argument that Twitter is a rightwing cesspool thanks to its redpilled owner, the fact that foreign enemies are expressing concern that they won't be able to use Twitter to manipulate Americans anymore should be enough to warrant the exodus.

For the first time in a while overdose deaths are declining - seven straight months of declines. The cause is complicated but appears to be the culmination of a number of different Biden admin policy initiatives coming to fruition. And yet it meant absolutely nothing politically.

Petition: Create a public consultation on freedom of speech and disinformation

It's so important to realize how insidious these people are, their whole purpose is to manipulate people into giving them power and it seems that no matter how much you point that out to people, they don't care. We seriously need a shift in the collective consciousness of society.

When we reach our inevitable year-end period of reflection I hope the Telegraph are proud of their 2024 achievement: Getting castle-owning millionaires to believe that in a country with crumbling schools & a 1/3 of kids in poverty - somehow they’re the victim.

This is a key constituent of fascism & the very essence of ‘Muskism’: promoting bullshit, silencing truth-tellers & calling the whole grift ‘free speech’. Twitter as a rehearsal for the USA.

Since 2016, there have been 3 elections, 6 PMs, and 4 different Brexit deals, none of which the Brexiters like. Yet the same Brexiters who said voting on those deals would break democracy, want another election, because they don't like the result of the one 4 months ago. These people are toddlers.

Turns out that Reform MPs are not all grifters, rich bellends and thick twats. The fact that Reform MP James McMurdock was jailed for repeatedly kicking his girlfriend shows they are also violent, woman-beating criminals. www.thetimes.com/uk/politics/...
