Ohh yeah, my time dual-booting with Windows 11 re-familiarized me with some of the BS Windows 11 puts folks through. Many to name, but as we both know, every piece of technology, operating systems, kernels or otherwise, will have quirks & issues. Just gotta find what works for you / you prefer.

Totally fair! We all need somewhere to vent & really, there's nothing wrong with using social media for that. I keep a lot of my feelings like that w/ family & friends offline, though, I totally get that not everyone has that. I'm lucky, in this regard, and respectful of those needing space, too.

I try to be the change I want to see in the world, as well as online. So, I hardly post about my grievances regarding various things (no shame to those who do!), but I definitely see repeated behaviors here on Bluesky, regarding Linux & beyond that bother me. I try to stay rational, the best I can!

It really is quite agitating, even as someone who doesn't deal with it! Just stumbling across posts like that leave me questioning why someone would approach the situation like that. Truly, doesn't make sense to me. As well, I feel you, on disliking folks ignorance quite a bit.

I didn't post as much as I normally do, these last few days. Been kinda going through it, mentally, but today has been far better. Much happier & content. Spent a few days quite agitated, and I didn't want to bring that presence to my account. I'll often only post when I know I feel reasonable. 💞

I definitely wish it was easier for folks to see someone having a preference & just moving on. Many, especially on the favorable side of Linux, like to push it on people who just don't want to use it. Loving tech is easy, for me. Dealing with unreasonable people, at times, is not, haha!

A big part of why I like Linux is definitely because of KDE Plasma feeling so great on my hardware. I've heard of horror stories for some folks getting Linux even just booted up, but in any case I've tried, I've had success. My stories won't resemble everyone else's, though. That's easy to see.

That's awesome to hear! I've personally never tried MacOS. I do think I'd definitely like it, as I just enjoy tinkering with tech in general; trying out what I haven't before. Having that blend of stability & flexibility for tinkering does sound quite nice, not gonna lie.

Trust me, I hate getting hit with it LMAO but, thankfully, I hop a bit less than I used to switch distros. Was far more common, even just a few months back. I'm slowly, but surely, figuring out I really should just run Fedora, lmao.

My run with Debian Testing was fun, but I've ultimately returned back, once again, to Fedora since it really does 'just work' once it's setup a bit. Sincerely, this is definitely my favorite Linux distro.

It really doesn't matter to me if someone runs or even prefers Windows, MacOS, whatever. I really do not care. Use what you like & hopefully it works well for you! That's all I can really ask for, at the end of the day. I ain't judgmental, what can I say, aha.

I truly do not care what operating system someone runs; I just use Linux because *I* think it's fun. I benefit from using it, that doesn't mean everyone or even many will. I've personal attachment to tech as a hobby (my dad loves it, too), so it makes sense as to why I'm so invested.

One thing I genuinely like about the new FireFox 'nova' redesign is the compact mode. I prefer everything being small & compact on my desktops, so this feels like it was made for me, lmao. Still, the redesign overall is quite 'meh', tbh. This one feature, though? Definitely nice.

One of the 3DS games I'm most nostalgic for is Mario Party: Island Tour - a game that has the defining trait of being shit LMAO. If you enjoy it, that's what counts. I love tons of games I'll gladly admit are bad or think are good despite others disliking them.
