I'm a rambler at times, so I (weirdly) appreciate that Bluesky has a smaller character limit. Helps me get my points across without going too far on, I find. Just another reason I appreciate social media more than some. There are serious benefits, at least, for me. Room to think before I post.

As I've been easing back into playing video games more & more (at least a variety of them), smaller 'pickup & play' indie games have been great for me. Stuff that isn't too in-depth but offer great replay value with a hook that lands. It helps me ease into bigger, "bolder" titles over time as well!

It always feels good when after a well fought match in Overwatch, people are just happy to have had a challenging matchup & praise everyone all around. The Orisa on the enemy team kept DESTROYING me, but we ultimately won the match. I pointed them out, and everyone had some praises to sing. 😊

Mr. Blair also, when asking me about the book I'm reading (which I told him I was reading it to understand my brother's ADHD better, I was undiagnosed at the time), praised me for it & asked if I'd like to share it with the class, which I gleefully did. He wanted me to have that boost in confidence.

I really did have some cool teachers growing up. My 5th / 6th grade teacher, Mr. Blair, when I opened up to him about feeling depressed & "weak", he let me come into school two hours early to catch up on work w/ him. He was so accommodating of my mental health struggles developing during puberty.

I love RSS Feeds so much. Growing up, I would just generally look online for news & keep up that way, but nowadays? RSS is my go-to for keeping up with specific things, at least. Need to find more sources for certain categories, but so far, it's been a lovely experience.

I know many folks hate it & maybe it's because I'm from the Midwest, but I sincerely love 'small talk'. Like, it's just an easy & simple way of wishing someone well, checking in w/ out getting overly personal. It's mutual and nice, I find. I definitely appreciate it.

Windows 11 26H2 dropped for me and... I'm kinda shocked at how much snappier it feels? We're all aware of how... clunky Win11 can feel. This definitely is an improvement; I'm not overthinking this... right?! LMAO I still have my gripes, but I'll take a snappier operating system, for sure.

Despite my absolute best efforts to get Overwatch working on Linux w/ my hardware, it consistently goes back to stuttering like a madman, no matter what... I think my hardware might just be an issue w/ it? I really don't know. I've tried just about everything.

Many grow out of their stuffed animals and/or baby blankets, etc... but truthfully, with my parents getting older, I'll often lay out in the living room (by my parents) & bring my baby blanket with me. While I can live without seeing it 24/7, it definitely is still VERY comforting to have around. 💞

Back when I used to play Overwatch for entire days, around 2017-2019, I would listen to 'Relaxing Pokemon Music' mixes every single time. Given how nostalgic I am for both Overwatch (from back then) & Pokemon nowadays, thinking back on this time is quite... a mixed bag, I'll say. Good memories. 💞

Emulation on Android is seriously so good. I just use Lemuroid & it plays most everything retro that I desire with little to no issues. My ""retro"" collection is only about 10GB in size, so it fits no problem on my 512GB Pixel. Combine this w/ a comfortably sized phone controller and you're set!

Set my mother up with a BUNCH of retro ROMs from her childhood on her phone w/ Lemuroid! She's beyond happy with it, too! She's getting sick of mobile games being infested with ads, so I thought giving her tons of Arcade, Atari & Nintendo (w/ some others) games would help her a bit. 😊

Splatoon, the first one, will always have one of the fondest launches in gaming history to me, personally. Simply due to the fact my brother and I were SO excited for it, as well, it was the last game we played that was new before moving out of my grandparents house. Such a fond time, in my life! 😊

When my family first got an NVIDIA Shield, around 10 or so years ago, I never found myself using it. Time and time again, my father would say "there will come a time you find this useful"... I never believed him. I'm now 24 years old, and well, well... I find that thing useful LMAO

Fedora Linux, at this point, is one of few, if not the only distro I can install & proceed to setup everything without relative issue(s). Secure Boot, auto-unlocking encryption (secured; dw), Samba, VMs, containers & any app I need just works with all the functions I'd need.

Shout-out to that point in time a few months ago where I was considering using xfce to see if I'd prefer it to KDE Plasma. Gave up on that theory, lmao, but still! I did consider it. Never got around to trying it, though... maybe for fun in a VM, idk.

I know BTRFS technically performs quite a bit slower, in some respects, than some filesystems on Linux. However, I simply LOVE BTRFS Snapshots & compression so much that it doesn't matter, to me. I get perfectly adequate speeds with BTRFS, regardless. I don't need extra & I love the benefits of it.

Some of the most eye-opening conversations I've ever had were with my friends around the world. I've always been in the USA, since I was born, so hearing perspectives from others, some close friends, has been life changing. Different perspectives goes a long way toward opening your mind!
