The Republican Party is very afraid that a “public option” would destroy private insurance. As usual, they have it exactly backwards. Public healthcare should be normal and would be praised by most people. Lets be honest, those who can afford it will always have a private option.

The people who didn’t vote last time could easily have EASILY changed the election outcome. Never let people tell you that votes don’t matter.

If your instinct is to think of rape as an understandable consequence of being intoxicated then substitute the word rape with “kicked in the balls”. Well, maybe he wouldn’t have been kicked in the balls if he hadn’t gotten drunk!

I suppose the question is would the group of women push out incompetent ones? That would be a huge improvement from what we have today?

Some also use religion as a substitute for morality and then cannot understand when people criticize specific religious groups on moral grounds.

If enough people get behind an idea, there is nothing we cannot change about our government. I suggest we focus on holding everyone accountable, especially the people at the top. Voting. Amendments. Whatever it takes.

I'm not against responsible production and use of hemp. However, we did "trust adults to make informed decisions" and that's how we got Trump as president. We can do better.

No, a housekeeper is not covered by HIPAA. A person working for a medical provider would be covered by that law. See www.paubox.com/blog/who-hip...

Who HIPAA does not apply to and why
Entities and individuals who don't handle PHI on behalf of covered entities typically aren't subject to HIPAA regulations.

I feel certain that people said the same about coal, and probably whale oil before that. With today's technology, we can use electricity to power the vast majority of vehicles and other machines. There have always been people holding us back, but they won't stop technological progress.

Star Trek figured this out thirty years ago. It's not hard. Even an old, drunk Klingon got it.
A set of screenshots from DEEP SPACE NINE. An old Klingon throws his arms around Dax and shouts "Curzon, my beloved old friend!"

Dax returns the hug and says "I'm Jadzia now."

The Klingon grabs her shoulders, smiles, and says "Jadzia, my beloved old friend!"

If everyone votes in the midterms, dems should have the majority in Congress. That will greatly limit what the president can get away with. If we put enough pressure on Congress, we can impeach, convict, and remove him from office. We must focus all our energy on Congress.

We must remember that members of Congress are also hearing from Trump supporters. Politicians mostly pay attention to how many citizens support each issue. It’s on us to make sure we outnumber the opposition. That is why we must contact members of Congress, often.

We must all contact our representatives and senators, repeatedly, and let them know that we demand, not request, that they remove the president from office. They don’t hea these conversations on social media. We must contact them at their offices or anywhere they appear in public.
