There are up to 8,000 species of katydids in family Tettigoniidae, 255 in North America alone. But this hot pink katydid isn't some exotic species, it's a 'morph', a normal genetic color variant. Here's the weird part: this is the DOMINANT color gene in katydids. (📷: Audubon Zoo)

I'm a proponent of cars being listed by something like mean cost per 1,000 miles. The cost of a fill up may be immediately felt but over the course of a month or a year it isn't the most relevant. Also highlights how 16 mpg vs 13 mpg is much better than 46 mpg vs 43 mpg.

We were struggling to figure out why my 11-year-old was getting a TLS error trying to connect to a game server until I realized his system clock was way off. He set it back to manipulate his time limits and was more mad I caught him than he was glad to join the game.
