why there's a "male loneliness epidemic". Until men learn to grow into a whole adult, capable of recognizing feelings & processing their emotions before reacting, they're just going to push women further and further away. So we can't heal toxic masculinity with more shame. That's how we got here.

Phrases like "grow a set" support toxic masculinity. Shame reinforces toxic masculinity. These men are frightened emotional wrecks on the inside & they were raised to be that way. They were victims of toxic masculinity since they were toddlers so their Emotional Intelligence was stunted growing up.

They said showed no effects, meaning they weren't reactionary. It doesn't mean they didn't dislike the judgements on their appearance. It just means that women, regardless of how they felt about it, were able to emotionally self regulate which means you can feel emotions without reacting.
