ポケモンGOで一番苦手なのは「○日連続で何かをしろ」というやつ🥺 そういうマメなことは苦手なのです。ただクリアできないと永遠にレベルアップできないみたいなのでがんばってますが、ようやく7日連続中の４日まできました。あと３日続くかしら。お散歩ミッションなのに雨続きですし。

That said, it seems like I can't level up at all unless I clear them, so I'm giving it a shot—and I've finally made it to day four of the seven-day streak.

I wonder if I can keep it up for another three days? It keeps raining, even though it's supposed to be a walking mission.

9/29は西武ライオンズ対オリックスの最終戦でした。２位を賭けた重要な試合でしたが、マーベラス選手のツーランマーベランと平良-篠原-甲斐野のリレーで２－１で勝利しました！🥺 これで、ようやく２位に王手がかかりました。 10/1のロッテVS日ハムでロッテが勝てば西武の二位確定。日ハムが勝った場合は、10/5と10/6のロッテVS西武で、西武がどちらか引き分け以上ならば西武の二位確定です。なんかすべてはロッテの御意向で決まる感じですね💦 コアラのマーチを食べながら応援いたしますのでひとつお手柔らかにお願いいたします🙇‍♂️

It was a crucial match with second place on the line, but thanks to Marvelous's two-run homer and a pitching relay featuring Taira, Shinohara, and Kaino, we secured a 2–1 victory! 🥺

With this win, we are finally on the verge of clinching second place.
If Lotte beats the Nippon-Ham Fighters on October 1st, Seibu is guaranteed second place.
If Nippon-Ham wins, then in the Lotte vs. Seibu series on October 5th and 6th, Seibu simply needs to secure at least one draw (or a win) in either game to lock up second place.

It feels like everything hinges on Lotte's results, doesn't it? 💦
I’ll be cheering them on while snacking on "Koala's March" cookies, so I hope they go easy on us! 🙇‍♂️

棋の音カフェ、今月の棋士カプチーノは、女流棋士の香川愛生女流四段です。見ての通りお美しい方で、将棋のかたわら映画やドラマ、バラエティ番組に出演されたり、ご自分のYouTubeチャンネルを運営されるなど、アイドル的な活動も多くされています。先日、香川愛生トレーディングカードなんてのが発売されて、たまげましたよ😅 しかし、なぜか「番長」というバンカラなニックネームを持っており、奨励会出身で女流王将２期獲得された実力派でもあります。

This month at the "Ki-no-Ne" Cafe, the featured professional shogi player for our latte art is Manao Kagawa (Women's 4-dan).

As you can see, she is stunningly beautiful. Beyond her shogi career, she is highly active in the entertainment world—appearing in movies, TV dramas, and variety shows, and running her own YouTube channel—much like an idol. I was actually quite surprised recently when a set of Manao Kagawa trading cards was released! 😅

Yet, for some reason, she goes by the rough-and-tumble nickname "Bancho" (Boss/Delinquent Leader). She is also a formidable player who came up through the Shoreikai (professional training league) and has twice held the title of Women's Osho.

きょうもベルーナドームに応援に来ましたよ。大事なはずのこの試合、なんと今日の先発はプロ初先発の冨士大和投手です。２４年の育成ドラフトの高卒２年目投手で、今期一軍成績は２試合登板で防御率は２２．５💦 数字だけ見ると試合を捨てたのかと言われかねないですが、西口監督は投手を育て上げることについては実績があります。このタイミングでこの奇策。きっと何がしかの成算があるはずです。おっかなびっくりではありますが、地元埼玉の若者がこの一年二軍戦でどう成長したか、初先発の雄姿を見守りたいと思います。

He is a second-year pitcher out of high school, originally selected in the developmental draft; his record in the top league this season consists of two appearances with an ERA of 22.5. 💦

Looking strictly at the numbers, one might wonder if the team has essentially thrown in the towel, but Manager Nishiguchi has a proven track record of developing pitchers.
Opting for such an unconventional move at this juncture suggests he must have a plan for success.

It’s a bit nerve-wracking, but I look forward to watching this young man from Saitama show us how he has grown in the farm league over the past year and seeing him in action during his debut start.

9/25-26の西武ライオンズ対ロッテ戦の二連戦はどちらも中継ぎ陣がロッテ打線につかまり、二連敗の危機でしたが、最後の最後で⛓️ビッグチェーン打線⛓️が爆発！２点差ビハインドで迎えた９回裏、長谷川選手、外崎選手の連打に続いて石井選手の２点タイムリー三塁打、そして最後に代打おかわり様の劇的なサヨナラヒットで連敗を免れました🥺 西口監督への素敵なバースデープレゼントになりました🎂 これで迫りくる日ハムに首ひとつリードを保つことができました。２位をめぐる戦いはまだ続きます。

In the two-game series against the Lotte Marines on September 25–26, the bullpen struggled against Lotte's hitters in both games, putting the team at risk of back-to-back losses—but at the very last moment, the "Big Chain" lineup exploded into action!

Trailing by two runs in the bottom of the ninth, the team rallied: consecutive hits from Hasegawa and Tonosaki were followed by a two-run RBI triple from Ishii, and finally, a dramatic walk-off hit by pinch-hitter "Okawari-sama" saved them from consecutive defeats.

大洗サンビーチでは昨日は花火大会があったようですね。ネットで見る限り、曇天ではありましたが無事開催できたようで何よりです。あの見事な花火を準備しただけで使えないと泣いちゃいますよえねぇ。ちなみにこちらは、私が先日大洗にいったとき、さんふらわあの甲板から望遠で撮影した大洗サンビーチの様子。私自身は子供のときに海に行ったことがあるくらいですねぇ。プールも学生時代までで、当時は特にカナヅチとか言うことはなかったですが、今はもう水に入ったら沈むのみかと🌊🔨🌊

It looks like there was a fireworks display at Oarai Sun Beach yesterday. From what I saw online, the event went ahead successfully despite the cloudy weather—which is a huge relief. It would be heartbreaking to put all that effort into preparing such spectacular fireworks only to have the event cancelled, wouldn't it?

By the way, here is a shot of Oarai Sun Beach that I took with a telephoto lens from the *Sunflower* ferry when I visited Oarai the other day.

As for me, the last time I actually went to the beach was back when I was a child.
I stopped going to pools after junior high; I wasn't exactly a non-swimmer back then, but these days, I feel like I’d just sink straight to the bottom if I got in the water. 🌊🔨🌊

北海道・恵庭のポケふた、ロコンです。恵庭市はガーデニングの町として知られており、市民と行政が一体となって花の町をつくりあげていますよ。そんなわけで背景はお花畑になっています。そういうことであれば、キレイハナ、チェリム、フラエッテ、ドレディアなど花ポケモンも採用すべきかと思うのですが、恵庭のガーデンの花はさまざまな植物が育てられているので、選びきれなかったということかもしれませんね。

Eniwa is known as a "gardening city," where citizens and the local government work hand-in-hand to create a town filled with flowers.

That is why the background features a flower garden.

Given that theme, one might think they should have included flower-themed Pokémon like Bellossom, Cherrim, Floette, or Lilligant; however, since Eniwa's gardens cultivate such a wide variety of plants, perhaps they simply couldn't narrow the choice down to just one.

鶴ヶ城です。若松城、会津若松城、黒川城、会津城など、いろいろな呼ばれ方をしているようです。会津戦争のときに砲撃を山ほどくらって陥落し、穴だらけになって最後は解体されたお城ですので、今ここにあるのは復元天守ですね。ちなみに飯森山の自刃から鶴ヶ城開城まで1か月ほどあるので、けっこう長期間の砲弾に耐えたことになりますね。元々平城＋天守閣という構成が時代遅れだったことに加え、近くに山があった鶴ヶ城はいい感じの射撃訓練の的だったと思います。江戸時代、大砲対策というのは何もされていなかったのでしょうかねぇ。

This is Tsuruga Castle. It goes by various names, such as Wakamatsu Castle, Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle, Kurokawa Castle, and Aizu Castle.
During the Boshin War (specifically the Battle of Aizu), it was bombarded heavily and eventually fell; left riddled with holes, it was ultimately dismantled. The keep standing here today is a reconstruction.

Incidentally, there was a gap of about a month between the ritual suicides on Mount Iimori and the eventual surrender of Tsuruga Castle, meaning it withstood artillery fire for quite a long time.

Not only was the "flatland castle plus keep" layout already outdated by that time, but the fact that there were mountains nearby made Tsuruga Castle an ideal target for artillery practice. One wonders if any countermeasures against cannons were ever implemented during the Edo period.

９月２３日、ペンギンベーカリーになんと戸越銀座店ができました🎊🙌🍾🥳 さっそく開店初日に行ってまいりましたよ。雨ではありましたが、例によって長い行列ができていましたよ☂️☂️☂️ 商店街のど真ん中なので、道路のあっちとこっちに行列をわけ、苦心の行列生成をしていました。きょうは整理係さんが頑張っていましたが、これから大丈夫かしら？

On September 23rd, a Penguin Bakery opened in—of all places—Togoshi Ginza! 🎊🙌🍾🥳
I made sure to visit on opening day.

Despite the rain, there was a long line, just as you’d expect. ☂️☂️☂️

Since the shop is right in the middle of the shopping street, they had to split the queue across the road—it looked like quite a struggle to manage the line.
The staff in charge of crowd control were working hard today, but I wonder how things will go moving forward?

小樽のパン屋さん、Mon Pierreの「ちくわちぃず」です。間違いなくちくわパンの系譜なのですが、いわゆるハーフカットちくわパンでしたねぇ。縦に半分に切ってちくわの穴はなくなるやつです。チーズ味を強調するためなのでしょうが、やはりちくわの穴を活用してこそのちくわパンだとも思いますので、そこは何とかして欲しかったかも。さすがに北海道のパン屋さんで、美味しいは美味しかったですが😋🥖

This is the "Chikuwa Cheese" bread from Mon Pierre, a bakery in Otaru.
It definitely belongs to the lineage of *chikuwa* bread, but it was the "half-cut" variety—meaning the *chikuwa* was sliced lengthwise, effectively eliminating the hollow center.

While slicing it this way makes it easier to add the filling—which is advantageous for highlighting the cheese flavor—I personally feel that the true appeal of *chikuwa* bread lies in utilizing that hollow center, so I would have liked to see them take on that challenge.

Still, as you’d expect from a Hokkaido bakery, it was certainly delicious.

なんか英語っぽく書いてあるけど、絶対こんな英語はないよね、と思ったやつ💦 調べたら、"athletic tape" とか"sports tape"、伸縮性が高いやつは"kinesiology tape"なんだそうです。今のご時世、日本に住んでいるのが日本人ばかりじゃないので、こういうのはちゃんと書いたほうが売れると思うのですけどねぇ。

"TAPING TAPE." It’s written in English, but I remember thinking, "There’s no way that’s actually a thing in English," you know? 💦

I looked it up, and apparently, the correct terms are "athletic tape" or "sports tape," while the highly elastic kind is called "kinesiology tape."
In this day and age, not everyone living in Japan is Japanese, so I really think products would sell better if they used the proper terminology.

会津若松駅構内にある会津山塩食堂の、喜多方系の塩ラーメンです。塩ラーメンも美味しいですよね😋 会津山塩というのが地域の特産品らしく、塩味にはこだわりがあるようです。正直、会津若松はガチ移動すぎて、ちゃんと現地らしいものを食べたのはこれくらいですね😅 #青空ごはん部

This is a Kitakata-style salt ramen from Aizu Yamashio Shokudo, located inside Aizu-Wakamatsu Station.
Salt ramen is delicious, isn't it? 😋
"Aizu Yamashio" (Aizu Mountain Salt) appears to be a local specialty, and they seem to take great pride in the salt flavor.

To be honest, my time in Aizu-Wakamatsu was mostly spent just traveling from place to place, so this was about the only time I actually ate something truly local. 😅

9/19-21に行われる予定だった、ZOZOマリンスタジアムの西武ライオンズ対ロッテの三連戦。今年最後の三連戦の予定だったのですが、今日は雨で中止。明日も台風🌀で中止間違いなしですねえ。ということで、初戦をカナリオ選手のホームラン２本などで隅田投手の10勝目を果たした西武の１勝０敗で終わりそうですね✌️ ただこれ、後ろに日程が組み直されることになりますのでいいことばかりではないですねえ。日程厳しければダブルヘッダーとかもあり得るかもしれません💦

The three-game series between the Seibu Lions and the Lotte Marines at ZOZO Marine Stadium was scheduled for September 19–21.

It was supposed to be the final three-game series of the season, but today's game was cancelled due to rain. Tomorrow's game is all but certain to be cancelled as well, thanks to the typhoon 🌀.

So, it looks like the series will end with Seibu holding a 1–0 record—having won the opener thanks to two home runs from Canario and pitcher Sumida securing his 10th win of the season ✌️.

However, since the games will have to be rescheduled for later, it’s not all good news. If the schedule gets too tight, we might even see doubleheaders 💦.

英語版ブルーレイで、美少女戦士セーラームーンを買ってみました。アメリカでもヒットした昔の作品です。アメリカ版ではアメリカの子供用に編集していてかなり別物になっていたはずなのですが、こちらのBDは日本語版を忠実に英語に吹き替えた感じのものですね。うさぎもSerenaに替えられておらず、Usagiそのままです。ジェダイトの偽名の「ジェイ・大東」までそのままです💦 吹き替えはとても聞きやすい英語でいい感じです。

I bought the English-language Blu-ray of *Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon*.
It’s a classic series that was a hit in the U.S. back in the day.

I recall the original U.S. release being heavily edited for American children—making it feel like a completely different show—but this Blu-ray version feels like a faithful English dub of the Japanese original.
For instance, Usagi’s name hasn't been changed to "Serena"; she remains Usagi.
They even kept Jadeite’s alias, "Jay Daito," exactly as it is. 💦

The English dub is great—very easy to listen to.

新幹線のグランクラス、最初で最後と思って乗ってみました！ (実は新幹線はグリーン車すら乗ったことがありません😅💦) 一車両に三列のみ、と席が広いだけで最高ですが、椅子の形を細かく調整することができます。グランクラスアテンダントさん(飛行機で言うところのCAさん)がおり、軽食や飲み物をくださるのですね。すごい。リッチな旅を楽しみたい方はぜひお試しください。

This time, I tried the Saunders High School-style hamburger.
The way the knife is stuck into it really fits the Saunders image.

Since it's a themed café, the prices are a bit high, but it was delicious 😋

クライマックスシリーズのチケット販売のファンクラブ先行抽選来ましたよ。当たるといいなあ。よく見るとシーズンシートオーナーさま用の先行抽選というのもあるのですね。ということはシーズンシート持っていてもCS以降は見せてもらえないのですねえ。あんなに高いのに🥺 わりと球場によって違うのですが、ベルーナドームの場合、21万円〜だそうです😅 ぜんぶ見に行ければお得かもですけどね💸

The fan club advance lottery for Climax Series tickets has opened. I really hope I win a spot.

Looking closely, I see there’s also an advance lottery specifically for season seat owners.

That implies that even if you hold season seats, they don't cover admission for the Climax Series and beyond—even though they cost so much. 🥺

It varies quite a bit depending on the stadium, but for Belluna Dome, I hear prices start at 210,000 yen. 😅
I suppose it might be a good deal if you could actually make it to every single game, though. 💸

会津・羽黒山湯上神社の１２２５段階段の前です。アニメ「ざつ旅」の１話目に出てきた聖地で、この階段を登りきることで鈴ヶ森先生はまたがんばって漫画を描く気持ちになれたのですよね。私も真似してみようと思ったのですが。 AIさんに止められました😱 なんと、この付近には🐻がいるよ、と。この場所のすぐそばで熊の目撃情報があったことを調べていました。どうしても上りたいなら熊対策を万全にしな、と言われてしまいあきらめました🥺

It had looked up information revealing that a bear had been sighted right nearby.

I was told that if I really wanted to climb it, I’d need to take thorough precautions against bears—so I decided to give up. 🥺

名古屋で行われた王座戦第２局、超難しい終盤戦でしたが、勝ち切ったのは伊藤王座でした。最後の最後、広瀬九段が７７に打ったのが歩ではなく銀だったら広瀬九段の勝ちだったのですけれどもねぇ。むしろ素人なら迷わず７７銀だったのですが、それだと攻め駒が足りないという判断だったのでしょうか。将棋ムズカシイです。これで対戦成績は１勝１敗の五分です。次はニセコで大事な一局になりますね。 #観る将

ガチャガチャでムーミンの一輪挿しというのがあったので挑戦してました。ムーミンハウスのやつがあたりました。ガチャガチャで出て来るサイズなので小さいのは仕方ないですが、その中で想像するサイズよりはわりと大きいですね。

I tried my luck with a capsule toy machine that featured Moomin-themed single-flower vases.
I ended up getting the Moominhouse version.

Since it comes from a capsule machine, it’s bound to be small, but it’s actually surprisingly large—bigger than I had imagined.

札幌市時計台です。日本二大がっかり名所のひとつではありますが、がんばってそれっぽいアングルで撮ってみましたよ。ホントは高層ビル群のなかにあり、訪れる人々をがっかりさせることで有名です😅 じっさい、もっとそれっぽい場所に移築しようかなどといった提案もあったようですが、やはりこの場所がだいじということで、今もビルの間で札幌市民を見守っています。

This is the Sapporo Clock Tower.
It is known as one of Japan's "two major disappointing tourist attractions," but I did my best to snap a photo from an angle that makes it look impressive.

In reality, it is surrounded by high-rise buildings—a setting famous for letting visitors down. 😅

There were actually proposals to relocate it to a more picturesque spot, but the decision was made that this specific location was vital; so, it remains here, watching over the citizens of Sapporo from amidst the buildings.

I lost the battle to book a ticket on the Sunrise sleeper express right when sales opened at 10:00 AM 🥺
I was aiming for a Class A sleeper, but the moment I missed out on that, all the Class B sleepers were already fully booked too 😱
What a bummer.
I'm currently brainstorming some alternatives.

The venue tickets for the S6 vs. Watanabe 9-dan match sold out instantly, too—everyone is just too fast 🥺

今日はベルーナドームへ西武ライオンズ応援に来ましたよ📣 ふだんは西武球場前駅まで電車で行くのですが、今回は多摩湖駅に行き、そこから多摩湖沿いにてくてくお散歩しながら球場まで行きました。珍しくベルーナドームの裏側を見ることができましたよ✨ 今日は２位西武と３位日ハムの戦いということで、たいへん重要な一戦です。応援も力が入るというものです💪

Usually, I take the train all the way to Seibu-Kyujo-mae Station, but this time I went to Tamako Station and walked to the stadium along the shores of Lake Tamako. It was a rare treat to see the back side of Belluna Dome. ✨

Today’s game is a crucial matchup between second-place Seibu and third-place Nippon-Ham.
I’m really fired up to cheer them on! 💪

福島県・会津坂下のポケふた、カイリキーとラッキーです。例によってポケモンGOで記念撮影📷 コメの生産地ということで、力持ちのカイリキーが米俵とラッキーをラクラクと抱え上げていますね💪 ちなみに私、このポケふたを実際に見るまではこの町の名前を「あいづさかした」だと思っていましたが、ポケふたの端っこには「あいづばんげ」と書いてあってびっくりしました😳

Since the area is a rice-producing region, the strong Machamp is effortlessly lifting both a straw rice bale and Chansey 💪

By the way, before seeing this manhole cover in person, I had assumed the town's name was pronounced "Aizusakashita," so I was surprised to see "Aizubange" written on the edge of the cover 😳

９月８日から１１日までの４日間は、西武ライオンズ対オリックスの変則４連戦でした。レギュラーシーズンで４連戦って珍しいと思いますが、雨天順延分が１日くっついた感じですね。結果は西武の３勝１敗で無事勝ち越すことができました✌ ネビン様の二試合連続ホームランにはしびれました🥰 しかし首位のソフトバンクが全く負けてくれないので４連勝したかったところでしょうねぇ。優勝マジックが９にまで減ってしまいました。ゲーム差は７に。これ以上差を増やすわけには行けないので食らいついていかないといけませんねぇ。厳しい戦いですし、おまけに日ハムも２．５ゲーム差でついてきています。これからが正念場ですね。

I was absolutely thrilled by "Lord Nevin" hitting home runs in two consecutive games 🥰

However, since league-leading SoftBank simply won't lose, the team probably really wanted to sweep all four games. The "magic number" for the championship has dropped to 9.

The gap in the standings is now 7 games. We can't afford to let that margin widen any further; we have to hang in there. It’s a tough battle, especially with the Nippon-Ham Fighters trailing just 2.5 games behind.

This is the critical stretch now.
