yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Netrunner is so good. I love that it lets you play as a corporate bootlicker as well as a netrunner proper. The new Cyberpunk game kind of does that too, but the asymmetry between the two sides is where Netrunner really shines. That and how its now-indie production feels so thematically appropriate. 040
yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not weakness. That is your deck’s fault for not letting you draw a single Swamp the entire game.static.klipy.comFat Gordo's Game Day MeltdownALT: Fat Gordo's Game Day Meltdown 110

yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Tamiyo was the planeswalker I identified with the most closely. Her compleation was devastating in the best way. And if we don’t get her Echoverse counterpart in Reality Fracture? Well, that too will be devastating, but I won’t be into it. 110
yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 13/09/2026In fact, if I’m remembering it correctly, the only permanent casualty was Lukka, whom almost nobody liked or cared about anyway. 120
yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 13/09/2026It really puts in a perspective how they tried to terrorize us by promising “half of these planeswalkers will be compleated.” Well, yeah…static.klipy.comFuturama: Technically Correct MemeALT: Futurama: Technically Correct Meme 110
yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Look at it this way. If you pick it up as a single, you’re only directly supporting your LGS, not the concept of properties beyond. And flavorwise, there are plenty of beings in the Multiverse who are cool and rude. Nahiri comes to mind. 120
yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I’ve decided to abstain from Universes Beyond and only pick up Multiverse Within product going forward. But having that made that decision, I agree with you that it’s not great for Standard. I’ve always preferred Limited play anyway, though. 021

yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I shouldn’t have pay to play as Cassandra in Soulcalibur VI. I’m playing a Soulcalibur game—a Soulcalibur game that I already paid for. Cassandra is therefore owed me as the end consumer. 010

yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 23/08/2026It’s such a cool ability to give to an Imperial warlord. Very flavorful that he’s building himself up with the discarded remnants of the once-mighty Empire. 010
yuleballer @yuleballer.bsky.social · 11/08/2026I dislike cards whose subtitles (and/or flavor text in other games) describe their own demise in the story. Because when we play the game, we are usually changing the scenarios otherwise familiar to us. At the same time, the impact is less severe when, as here, the card’s effect represents its fate. 010
