Finished Hakuoki Dawn of the Shinsengumi. I feel the same as the previous series, where I thought that the protagonist just kind of existed, but the fact that Ryunosuke had an arc and Chizuru only had a whisper of one makes me upset.

Finished the first Hakuoki anime series, just have the prequel left. Objectively good series with great pacing and emotional moments, but the demon stuff and the Shinsengumi history felt at odds with each other and I wished Chizuru wasn't just an emotional support dog.
