At PHL once - plane was very late stewardess looked at the transfer tickets when she got to mine she said “I don’t think your gonna make it, but I’ll get you off first” had to run to the complete other side of the airport got there right before they closed door. Wouldn’t have made it without her.

I don’t remember any “two mommies” recruitment commercials. I do remember a whole series of young people trying to convince their parents the military was a good choice, because after 8 years of the Bush (republican) administration no one wanted their kids in the military.
