Young people are scared and angry about our futures, but we are fighting back. If the climate anxiety is hitting hard this week, join us for a session with Ecomind on the 21st of Sept for a safe space for wellbeing and community solidarity. (5/5)

We are not hopeless. The report is clear - 1.5°C is still in reach if governments act now. Labor, it's seriously time to wake up- stop lining your pockets with dirty donations at the sacrifice of our safe future. Stop approving new fossil fuels NOW. (4/5)

Yesterday, Albo refused to acknowledge the floods as climate disasters- let alone Australia’s complicity in fuelling climate change. Shame. Australia must provide climate finance to our Global South neighbours to adapt to the impacts of our pollution. The call for climate justice is deafening.(3/6)

Australia is one of the largest exporters of coal & gas in the world & the Labor gov has approved over 36 fossil fuel projects since 2022. We're seeing the consequences of this unfold in real time- thousands of lives destroyed by devastating flash floods in Nepal & Tibet. (2/6)

The UN report yesterday confirmed what we were afraid of. Lack of action has made exceeding 1.5° unavoidable. The line Australia promised to hold under the Paris agreement is compromised-our governments must fix this fast. Labor, we're looking at you. (1/6)

First Nations peoples have cared for the lands & waters of Australia for over 65,000 years. The dispossession of Indigenous land from Indigenous hands is at the core of systemic unsustainable living, environmental degradation & fossil fuel pollution that underpins climate change.

As stressed at the UN & ICJ, business-as-usual propping up the fossil fuel industry is incompatible with the scale & urgency of the climate crisis. The credibility of this moment will be measured with immediate action- Albo can start by actioning a 25% tax on gas exports to fund a just transition.

This global win reflects years of leadership from Vanuatu & the Pacific, youth movements, civil society, First Nations people & frontline communities who refused to accept delay, continue to champion climate leadership, & demanded climate accountability. A win for them is a win for all of us!

For Australia as the third largest exporter of fossil fuels in the WORLD, this is urgent & global wake up call that Albanese must quit bolstering the fossil fuel industry at the expense of our future.

In a landmark win at the UN today, 141 countries including Australia affirmed that every country has a legal obligation to prevent further climate harm and safeguard present and future generations, and that climate harm carries legal consequences.

This @youth4climate.bsky.social action at Sarah Whitty's office was in response to Labor's weak targets & fossil fuel approvals. I know Whitty is well aware of the climate science and risks and that Melbourne wants real climate action from Labor. They can't press snooze on Melbourne constituents!

🗳️ Our Election Scorecard just dropped! 🗳️ Together with our friends at Seed Mob, we've taken a look at where parties and candidates stand on climate justice this election!
Climate justice scorecard. Each party is ranked on tackling climate change in line with the best science, ending support for fossil fuels, investment in renewables (not nuclear), land rights and first nations justice, and addressing the impact climate change has on cost of living. Greens have straight ‘A’s, Liberals have ‘F’s and Labor have C,D,B,C,C

not the spotify wrapped we were hoping for 😕😕
Copy of Spotify wrapped, reading Labor spent $14.5 billion subsidising fossil fuels this year. That’s $27581 for every minute of every day
