And Trent wasn't a "preset" guy in any respects. The DX7s controlled rack mount synths, samplers, drum machines and effects in back. Here Charlie Clouser talks more about it:

Nothing pre-planned except, "Don't destroy the drum kit until Happiness In Slavery". It's one thing to have a crew guy run a fresh keyboard out on stage in the middle of a song, but getting the drum kit and all the mics and trigger cables back into one piece can't easily be done while the song keeps cruising along. So that was the only rule. Other than that, watch your back!

There were plenty of spare keyboards and guitars and mics and everything else so we didn't give a fuck how many got launched across the stage, and all the actual sound generating hardware - the guitar amp heads, samplers, effects, etc, were all located safely off the stage, so the keyboards on stage were just remote keyboards for the sound engines located elsewhere, and all the on-stage guitar cabinets were for stage fill and feedback only, if they got trashed the sound would still come out of the PA system.

So, destroy at will.

Lrt: Trent being normal to keyboards is why we can't get Yamaha DX7 synths used despite the fact that they made a billion of them. It's even funnier once you know that they just used them as midi controllers.

Tukov is a disgusting mess. His plate carrier is holding on by one tattered strap, the blood on him is tarry and mixed with dust and strips of straw.

His left arm is broken in multiple places, right shoulder is showing split bone and marrow, upper legs and crotch peppered with spare buckshot holes and face is a disaster behind a lattice work of nylon, oak scraps and deep red lacquer.

I should have saved all those threads on mma.tv about the Kingdom/Takada Dojo guys training there. The best I have now is from Sherdog

Sakuraba and Takada visited Beverly Hills Jiu-Jitsu club in 1998. I heard from BHJJ students that Takada was having a lot of trouble with blue belts and Sakuraba armbarred chief instructor and his top student (Marc Laimon, founder of Cobra Kai in Las Vegas) under a minute.

It was around the time Shoji and Takase (ADCC competitors who are known for excellence in grappling) trained with Sakuraba and both of them had to be tapping out all day while having no fighting chance (according to Takase).

No Man Sky is one of the greatest comeback stories in all of media. I am hard pressed to think of anything else that has taken the redemptive path that No Man's Sky has taken. Sean Murray and the No Man's Sky team, you did it, you fucking DID IT!

How often do you see a game so breathlessly revolutionary, that the mere concept of it pushes the bounds of what possible in games? And how often do you see a game so gorgeously dreamlike and proudly affecting, that it takes on a metaphysical aspect, with would-be fans enamoured by what the game promises by inference. Not often.

Then to release and wildly miss the mark, so much so that purchasers feel a religious level of rejection and the game is dismissed outright? Often.

Still with so much expected and delivering so little, you'd expect the team behind it to chalk it up to a miss and just move on. But they didn't. The redesigned the game from the ground up and began filling a game that was called "a mile wide and an inch deep." Aspects were added, narratives were put in place, promises were being fulfilled and wishes met.

And here we are, years later with a game that lives up to those promises and more? My god. You mad men, you pulled it off!
