I've uploaded "A Good Day For Bowling" up on my website! This is probably the best avenue to read my comic work but it's hard to advertise so if you've only seen my comics in passing feel free to take a look through the rest of my site! :) www.alvarelacartoonist.com/young-dumb-q...

Apologies for the lack of Alt Text on this first part, I will update it with them when I have more time. Demand Bluesky staff for scheduled posts already

Finally, there's Maggie Amaya. Pearl's cousin, and the oldest of the group. She's a transgender woman who tends to be more distant from the group, but despite her seemingly grump demeanor she cares a lot and tries to be there for people when they can. She's also Leslie's ex, which is a bit messy.

A drawing of Maggie, arms folded and looking annoyed.

Tyler Lemar is a music producer who met Pearl and Leslie in high school. He's proudly bisexual in spite of how many people in his life it's isolated, but his constant optimism and friendly attitude makes him the heart of the group. He's also a bit of a goofball.

A drawing of Tyler doing a little dance. It's reminiscent of the dance Snoop Dogg does in the video for "Drop It Like It's Hot".

Leslie Demory is Pearl's best friend and Faith's girlfriend. She's known that she's a lesbian her whole life, and has a history of sleeping around, but her feelings for Faith has her more willing to stick it out. She is smug and cocky, unafraid to shit talk even her own girlfriend.

Drawing of Leslie, smugly looking down on Faith.

Faith Rose Melody is the defacto "love interest". She's a white girl from Texas who came to terms with her sexuality after becoming part of the friend group. She's currently dating Leslie. She's also captain of the debate team, with a competitive edge that really comes through in this chapter.

A drawing of Faith, looking innocent with a halo over her head.

This is Pearl Amaya, our defacto main character. They're a socially awkward Mexican-American lesbian in the unenviable position of being in love with their friend (Faith) who is dating their best friend (Leslie). They id as non-binary (they/them), but only a few people know this (Maggie and Leslie).

A drawing of Pearl Amaya, looking distressed about something.

"A Good Day For Bowling" starts in a week! Since this account is fairly new and some of you may not know much about this series I figure this would be a good time for a main character roundup, just so you guys in the dark are introduced to who these characters are.
