A gaming magazine ad for the Limited Edition "Ice Blue" Game Boy Pocket (1997) In the 90s, even Nintendo's ads were COOL. ... See what I did there? I used the word "cool". Because cold and ice and like, ya know the blue is like cold or whatever? Yea.

I started streaming in 2015, as a way to meet people and recreate that feeling of hanging out on the couch playing games with friends. Just hit 1400 followers tonight, which is BONKERS. Thank you to all the people who have been there these past 10 years, I appreciate you more than words can say. 💜

Even though, as @genogaron.bsky.social says, we have cats at home, I still travel over an hour to the cat sanctuary when possible. Because we don't have this at home.

Not to say pets are even remotely the same as having kids, but if I had a dollar for every time I asked my cats "What are you doing/what's do you have in your mouth", I'd have a decent start to their college funds...

My mom and stepdad always say they won't get any more pets. I respond with loving skepticism every time, having heard that many times over the years. (My mom is largely responsible for my love of cats.) Anyway, they found a kitten abandoned across from their house, and they're keeping him. 😂

It can be so hard leaving their cute little faces at the end of each shift, especially the longer they're in the adoption center and the more comfortable they feel with you.

I've been playing Tiny Bookshop a lot this past week. It seems like a dream come true, despite the realistic impossibilities. Good article that focuses on why we choose to play certain games. theconversation.com/tiny-booksho...
