Im going to build a gaming PC if ram prices ever come back down to earth. I can’t really justify another joystick just for one game. I fly well enough on a gamepad to do what I want in the game, it’s just silly and annoying that GFN doesn’t just support HID devices…

They support about 6 setups. What’s not on that list? The X-55. What IS on that list? The X-52 and the X-56. The X-56 is Logitechs rebrand and a small spec bump of an X-55. My joystick is completely HID compliant, but NOPE can’t use it since the USB vid/pid isn’t a X-56!

I have a tendency to hit extremely niche issues. Yesterday is was trying to get my Saitek X-55 joystick and throttle working with Wardogs. I don’t have a gaming PC, so I play via GeForceNow. GFN starting supporting flight sticks and HOTAS setups a few months ago…

Ultimately I tend to shy away from unitasker tools and devices in my life. I like the concept of an e-ink tablet, but an iPad Pro is just going to be so much more useful to me day to day. I guess i know what I’m looking for next iPad refresh!

Im still trying to figure out a new note taking/3rd device strategy. Do I go for a smaller iPad Pro or a eInk tablet? My older iPad Pro 12” was just too big so I definitely want something smaller. My notes are mostly markdown in Obsidan right now, but I do like the idea of writing/drawing….

SitRep: Still no grade for the exam, tomorrow is the last day to withdraw so I made the decision to drop the class and attempt it again next semester. I don’t wanna risk a GPA or even a failure. I got all the content saved and will better prepped next time!

I don’t know if there’s enough points left to pull out a decent score. There’s only 2 100 point exams and 6 10 point homework assignments. Argggg

I’m taking a Software Construction class this semester The exams are, I kid you not, 2 hour programming challenges using ProctorU. The first one has 20 steps. I made it to step 17. And I get to wait to see how badly I did if they will even accept it since the exam window closed before I submitted.

Yet I know I’m introverted and probably not the most approachable. I’m horrible at small talk so I try and avoid it, but then I don’t reach out. I want more real connections, but I don’t know how to get there. In any case I ALSO realize this a lot of jerkbrain talking too… 🫠

This is still nagging at me, but im wondering if it’s not more indicative of a larger issue, maybe something with how I interpret friendships? Some days it just feels like I’m forcing it or the classic “if they wanted to do something or talk they would reach out” mindset…
