It's entirely procedural, all it needs is a noise texture and some gradients. Only issue i've noticed with it is that increasing the particle count too much creates this odd "visual residue". Idk might be something with the shader lol.

Decided to add zelda-esq object targeting. This is very important for characters that can shoot stuff and gives me more options for object placement. The system can help players pinpoint what objects around them are receptive to force abilities. -- #gamedev #jrpg #godot

While I've been working on this swapping feature, I've been thinking about an enemy I encountered in DQ5, it was like an elephant looking thing and it could fling members in your party into the wagon (bench). I might explore something similar... -- #JRPG #gamedev #godot
