It's my equivalent to meditation except I get a visual reward afterwards 🤫

They tend to get as far away from the food plant as they can because they are vulnerable whilst a chrysalis and other monarch caterpillars will eat them, given half a chance.

Remember the tree frog outside my window? It sang the song of it's people for two nights straight. I decided to put the camera close to see if I could catch a photo and maybe some film. I haven't heard the frog since but I figured it was too cold anyway. Checked the camera today & I am SO ANGRY now

The official butterfly nursery count is; 1 Orchard Swallowtail caterpillar 2 Monarch caterpillars 3 Orchard Swallowtail chrysalis 2 Richmond Birdwing chrysalis and 28 Chequered Swallowtail caterpillars 🥰

Morning🦋 Temperatures have plummeted & I have a lot on today. Mostly, I'm fine. It was, however, a bit difficult leaving Misty earlier 🥹 She gave me so much attention 🥰 Headbutts are her external signs of affection. She pushed her face into my leg so hard today 🤗
