"Deck of many wins" is actually such an underrated style. My Imskir deck kinda does everything: Combat, attrition and combo are all totally valid wincons. A nice consequence is it's easy to "play to the table", focusing on an appropriate level of play for the other players.

I don't like the age verification either, but that has absolutely nothing to do with fascism. A company like BlueSky cannot just ignore the laws in Australia. They would get blocked there if they did, which is an objectively worse outcome.

What is the motivation on Sway of the Stars? I just don't really see a good use case for it? Restarting the game just feels like a net loss. I would rather just lose to something like Biorhythm and start from 40. Of course being a game changer doesn't help with that. I would have kept it banned.

A side effect of this is clarifying that a card like Thassa's Oracle should almost never be your win condition in bracket 3, which I think strongly matches the feelings of most players within that bracket. To answer the question from the article, I would rarely see that, and if I did I asked "why?"

I also really like the indicators about how a player should win the game. That's a big distinction between brackets 2/3/4 that we didn't really have clear indicators for until now. It's not foolproof, but I might have emphasised it even more as it is a bit part of player expectations.

These "expectation" definitions are a HUGE improvement imo. Much clearer about how the game should be played in different brackets. "Average turns to lethal" is a really useful indicator in most situations and probably the most important factor in whether players feel that they had a decent game.

You could rule zero anything. The purpose of the brackets/game changers/banlist system is to define some "default" expectations that usually work for most people and help with communication. It was always easy to know that Urza or Yuriko were high power commanders, so limiting them was unnecessary.

Overall I do wish we would not need this. We should want people to be happy and give them the tools to live their best lives even if it does not create any money. But when we have such clear evidence that it would be hugely "profitable" to support them, there is no reason not to do it.

It's so ridiculous to me when streamers get mad at their viewers for not giving them more money. That's like a farmer getting mad at his crops for not growing... It's his job to provide for them so that they grow. Donations are earned. If you didn't get them, that's on you.

I also wanna say that putting other streamers down might benefit you, but it is bad for your audience. Your audience enjoys other streamers, and whilst you don't have to help other streamers, hurting them hurts your audience. As a streamer, your audience should be your first priority.

I have always hated the idea that vtubers should view each other as competition rather than friends or at least coworkers.
