Convention hell has got me a bit tired than I'd like to admit. I'll be streaming art related to my upcoming performance at #VirtuKuku2026 in like 15 hours from now probably? We shall see~

Twitch has officially implemented AI-Training. It is opt-in by default. Follow these steps, users & streamers alike: 1. Hop on Twitch via web browser 2. Open "Account Settings" 3. Scroll to the bottom. Above "Download My Data" is "Training for Generative AI". Click on the slide to toggle it off.

Every time I see pretty photos on here, I keep wanting to post mine, and then I remmeber how much my phone can't handle decent photos for far away objects. Case and point:

Photo through a window of a cruise ship. There is harsh window glare which was impossible for me to get rid of, and this is supposed to be a picture of an otter that popped up from the water for a moment. The mountain in the background is clearly visible, and for the most part the picture looks like pure ocean with some ice floating on top.

Zoomed in and cropped version with a yellow circle draw on top and a yellow arrow, making it super obvious where the otter is in the photo. The otter looks like a small black spec on top of the water, with small hints of ripples trailing towards the right of the image.

fuck it, i made a forum post on the discord support site. it's much too long to fit the entire thing in a single alt text, so forgive me for splitting it between three identical images of the post. Discord is holding my account hostage because of THEIR OWN SUPPORT TEAM'S MISTAKE.

The last couple months have been repeated nail after nail in the coffin that was my patience for this company and it's absolutely godawful support system. The TL;DR of everything leading up to the current situation is the following sequence of events:
- My account was hacked. The hacker set up a phony Support account using my email to prevent me from submitting a ticket properly.
- I make a ticket about all that on a Support account with an alternative email.
- I get a few responses from the support bots, and then nothing happens for multiple weeks.
- I reach out on Twitter and they help me get access to the Support account that was fraudulently using my email.
- I make a ticket about my compromised account on THAT Support account.
- I get my account back after nearly a month of it being compromised.
Sounds like a good resolution right? All hunky dory? How I wish that were the case. About 3 weeks later, after I'd been having no issues whatsoever since recovering my account(s), I'm suddenly logged out on all devices. I received no emails about account information being changed or updated, no security notifications from Discord or anything like that, until I see an email about an update to a support ticket.

Apparently, despite me referencing the various ticket numbers across each one, they just never closed the original ticket I'd made when everything was resolved, and now out of nowhere somebody (or something, since it was probably another one of their useless support bots) decided to look at that ticket and do something with it. Unfortunately for me, that something was completely removing my phone number and email from the account and giving me absolutely no way to reset or dispute that information.

The second ticket goes much faster. I explain the situation (again), get a couple of the expected canned replies, and eventually decide to be a bit more direct. When I explicitly asked “When my account was hacked, things were resolved because you reverted the email back to what it was before. Why can't you just revert my email back to what it was before your team member made this mistake?”, the ticket was immediately ghosted. No replies from any bot, no “we're escalating this”, nothing.

It's now been days since the last interaction from one of their support bots on EITHER ticket. Both of them are still labeled as “open”. I've tried reaching out to the support twitter account, knowing full well what they can and can't do, and have also gotten 0 response for multiple days. As it stands right now, I'm just stuck playing the waiting game while absolutely nothing happens, and to say I'm furious would be a drastic understatement.

Discord Support is effectively holding my account hostage from me because of a mistake they made, all while their bots are actively denying that the support team even has the ability to change the email on an account to begin with. Which is exactly what they did to recover my account when it was hacked. So the bots will just straight up lie to your face after screwing you over. This company's utter disregard for their userbase was already known to be horrible, but this is just downright negligent and embarrassing. I'm at a loss for what to even do at this point beyond just twiddle my thumbs and pretend like their nonexistent support team will actually fix their mistake in a timely manner.
