Realized the new free game I downloaded definitely uses a ton of genAI... so I finally just bought Fields of Mistria to play instead.

If you're looking for somewhere to host your merch that is LOUDLY anti-AI I highly recommend ACGGoods PLUS if you're an artist, you can take merch comms directly on site + have the merch made + shipped to the client 👀

Screenshot of ACGGoods with "unique merch starts with human artists" underlined and "100% human made. Real artwork from verified human creators. No generative AI." circled.

I love logging onto twitter and seeing thinly veiled racism in the vtuber community once again. tf you mean extra cost for altering the skin tone on a ych commission TToTT)

Not an original thought but I'll never get over the term LARPing being co-opted as as insult for "inauthenticity for the sake of being cool" when actual LARPers have historically been the butt of nerd culture jokes for being too ernest and cringe even for nerds.

⚠️PSA ABOUT SCAMMERS There's been an uptick in impersonators who target users with easily swappable handles (i's for l's, o's for 0's, varying repeated letters, etc) They will always 1) block the original artist 2) target users who have replied with interest, either thru QRPs, replies, or DMs (+)

nobody prepares you for the amount of design/concept work you have to do on the spot when rigging vtuber models 🧍 "yeah this fantastical element PROBABLY moves like this?" "how deep is this angular armor piece supposed to look?" "hm maybe this model should have bigger cheeks."

Periodic reminder to my artist friends that text based genai is JUST as bad as visual generators. You can not "look something up" on chat gpt, you can only generate word strings based off of millions of unconsenting pieces of writing. Do not use any of it.

Please be vocal about not using AI. We have to normalize it. No "I'm not going to say that because it should be assumed. I'm not going to give them this". We don't have time for that shit ideological shit right now. NOW is the time to capitalize on waning favorability. Ppl want human made

Since it's a model made with a base, getting multiple outfits starts as low as $50 for art + rig depending on how much needs to be changed / added! Even less for just texture swaps. Ych models are a great way to play dress up while still getting original art ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡
