Unorganized and pretty rough sketch page drawn in blue ballpoint pen of mostly Mario characters. A Blitty, default male Mii, Broggy, Starlow, Kirby, a bad drawing of Fawful, and some other unfinished doodles are all here. This was drawn without any references, which is why it looks sort of whack.

Homeworlds This is a little explanation of where Umbra and Stella came from, and sort of why they left. I hope you like it!! :) #drawing #art #furryart

Drawing explaining some of the backstory of Stella and Umbra's home planets. Some text explains "Stella comes from a dry desert world that has so much dust around it that it's always dark, and the people never get to see the stars.", and "Umbra is from a watery planet whose moon, the source of her magic and wellbeing, was destroyed long ago." I'm thinking of doing more of these little story explanation drawings about my characters. I don't think the story is that interesting right now, but I think it'll improve as time goes on, and eventually once it's more polished, and my art skills have improved enough, maybe I'll make a webcomic or something. They have tiny budgets and extremely cheap prices, and have no big studios backing them. But when a huge game promises to be the next big thing, or a completely new genre, or a "AAAA" game, and then under delivers, that makes it much worse, because the expectations were so high.

Yeah, I mean, thousands of little shovelware "games" (such as eSlop AI garbage) come out every year, and they're totally worthless. Much worse than even the most putrid big games that come out that year. But the difference is, nobody expects anything from them.

Today was the 30th anniversary of Nintendo 64 in North America. It's a super special day for me, because the I'm a huge fan of the N64. I wanted to make a drawing for this day, but I didn't get around to it. Ah well. Change the System!!

Oh cool! Yeah I did the same thing with mine, but linearly filtered. I also suck at UV unwrapping and texturing. I like the way the nearest neighbor filtering gives a cel shaded look, it looks sick!

Mii's new 3D model is done! The armature is the same between the two models, so I can still use the old poses on the new one. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

There is so much nuance to review scores, so it's so sad to see people dismiss games that get less than 50 or a 60, or think that numbers in the 20-50 range are somehow a bad score.

Totally. A 40 could mean that 4 out of 10 reviewers completely fell in love with the game, and the other 6 didn't get it. Or it could mean that all of the reviewers liked it about 40% as much as their favorite game ever.

I'm working on a revised version of the Mii 3D model. I think it's mostly an improvement. Hopefully I'll be able to use the rig from the original model (pictured right). I promise I'll do some drawing soon! >_< I have some new characters I want to sketch. #b3d #blender

Status update below!!

Screenshot of the computer program Blender, showing two versions of a 3D model of Mii, an original character of mine. The two models are T-Posing side by side, but the one on the left is closer to the camera. They are both untextured, being coloured a simple grey with no features that are drawn in texture, like the face. The model on the left is the new model that I am currently working on. It has more polygons and thus looks noticeably smoother. The topology has also been improved, specifically in the hat, the hair, and the nose too, I guess. The legs have also been improved in general, but it's hard to see in the picture. I have yet to do the texture work for this model, but I plan to actually attempt some real texturing this time, and also include normal maps.

I feel like everything Fortnite touches just gets degraded in my eyes. I can never look at Sonic or Megaman the same after seeing them in the game, it's so sad. I wish this game would die already before it spreads its rot to anymore IPs

I thought the Mii renders would be better and easier to read if it had a backdrop, so I made this! #blender #b3d #nintendo
