I just want to know WHEN so I can arrange for time off and see if I need to change any existing plans...

2 weeks since I last called the surgeon's office. Have heard nothing since. Called today. Got told "there's a process we have to go through" (i know!) And "we're waiting on insurance authorization and then you'll get a call." It's fine. I don't need to plan my life around this surgery or anything.

It continues today. The ALA recommends not keeping patron histories! For me that's enough to outweigh the "but sometimes a kid wants to try and look up something they read a while ago." #LibraryLife ##SchoolLibrary

There's a whole discussion (to put it mildly) happening in my district about if school libraries should keep patron histories and there are some VERY strong feelings on both sides and also some ugliness between librarians and library staff re: who should be allowed to have opinions. #SchoolLibrary

Had a really frustrating day today. Opened a couple #RealityFracture boosters and that helped a bit. Some chocolate helped a bit. Yelling helped a bit. Getting a little certainty about surgery would help a lot but alas, no.

I had some the other day before a disc golf tournament and they were pretty great
