I’ve released a tool to sketch and edit phylogenetic trees! yawak.jp/PhyloWeaver/ Load a Newick file and intuitively add/remove/resize branches. Useful for quick conceptual trees, extracting subtrees, or turning ideas into Newick.

Our new study is out! Just one episode of sexual reproduction in Closterium🌙 can create offspring with very different stress reactions compared to the parents. This might be because of massive copy number variations in their genomes, which produce a wide range of phenotypes.
