Smooth Grace (I drew this in 2.5 hours, don't judge my scribbled art haha) Because every time I draw Grace, I draw his scruff in last, and it always looks wrong without it. #projecthailmary #phm #rylandgrace #rockyphm #art #comic

🍳 A project hail mary fan comic.

Ryland Grace greets Rocky at the door to his house on Erid.

Grace: Mornin', Rockstar.

Rocky: Good Morning, Gr-- ?! -- Grace face!

Grace: Oh yeah!

We see Grace from front view, rubbing his clean shaven chin.

Grace: one of the biodome team said they thought I might look--uh--sound better if I shaved off all the old scruff. And I thought, what the heck. Let's try something new. So what do you think, Rock? How's the new Smooth Grace sound?

Rocky is silent, observing Grace thoughtfully.

Grace (off screen): ....Rocky?

Rocky's claws twitch, then he reaches out.

Rocky: Grace... come close.

Grace is a little confused.

Grace: Okay...

He kneels down.

Grace: This good?

Rocky reaches over to touch Grace's face.

Rocky: Yes. Good, good, good.

Rocky is caressing Grace's face, and Grace is smiling a little.

Grace: ...Rocky...

Rocky squishes Grace's cheeks hard, holding his face tight and knocking his glasses slightly askew. Grace is not amused.

Rocky: How long it take to grow back, question.

Grace: Darn it, Rocky.

Rocky: Do not like Smooth Grace. Grow back scruff and keep. Grace not do this ever again.

Grace: Jeez, pal, you don't have to beg.

Rocky: Is not beg. Is COMMAND.

Grace: Oh C'mon, it's not THAT bad.

Rocky: Tell Rocky who said smooth Grace would sound better. Rocky will correct them.

Grace: I get it, I get it, I'm ugly.

Rocky: Grace always beautiful. Just little less beautiful now.

Grace: Aw, bud!

On Tumblr, I had someone asking me what i thought of a Predator Badlands bloodymary AU, with yautja Simon and weyland android Grace And since I've been planning to design a Yautja!Simon for weeks...the inspiration hit! #ironlung #yautja #yautjaau #bloodymary #projecthailmary

Reference sheet of Simon as a yautja. It has a partial back view showing the mutated side and two close up, symmetrical head shots, before and after the mutations.

Reference sheet of Simon as a yautja It has a 3/4 view of Yautja!Simon wearing the mask, his harness with a dagger and a hood with fur inside.
Two close ups of his legs, one showing the colors and scars, the other a belt to which pelts are attached to it and a loincloth with a tree sewn in it.

Reference sheet of Simon as a yautja. It has a front and back view of one of his arms, one of them as the pendant with the seed tied to the wrist. An height chart with Android!Grace and, on the side, the Yautja!Simon color palette.

First Impression (4/6) Due to their kind behavior, Ryland sometimes forgets Yautja!Eridians are apex predators. (Rocky and Adrian probably sensed a disturbance in the air, outside of the bio-dome.) #yautja #yautjaau #art #projecthailmary #eridianoc #grockadrian

First panel has an Echolocation point of view of Fluorite, looking towards Moss and Grace, the first concerned and the second a bit confused.
Next is a back view of Fluorite: their body is in a tense position, snarling, their arm rising, charging for a hit. Steam coming out of their body.
It follows a close up of Moss being alerted, steam coming out of their head and letting out a squeal.
The next panel is a black background, with the onomatopoeia: slam, crack, thud.

Grace: You didn't mention they were the shy type, Moss
Moss: *musical notes that form Fluorite name*

Full body of Fluorite still in a threatening position, their punch landed on the xenonite wall, cracking it. Green blood comes out of their hand for the hit. Steam still leave their body.
Moss is next to them, tugging Fluorite arms and letting out a few distressed musical notes.
Grace fell on the ground, his back to the viewer, looking towards Fluorite, shaking a bit.

First meeting! (That isn't one-sided at least). Things spoken are in black, inner thoughts are in color. Simon's voice is still fucked. May have something to do with his non-stop attempts to scream at the aliens. #bloodsong #bloodymaryontherocks part 3

Simon's thoughts:

"The fuck does it want?

It's just sitting there."
